Written update- 19 September

The episode starts with ritesh checking on zoon in the morning. Zoon has refused to eat breakfast. Zoon tells ritesh that she wants to see her mouj. She says that he is her genie who fulfills all her wishes and she wants him to fullfill this wish as well. Ritesh pinky promises her to bring her mouj with him but she needs to eat breakfast. Zoon agrees.

Rahul asks ritesh why he is giving false hopes to the child. Ritesh tells rahul that he would indeed get indu to meet the child. The child looked at him with such hopeful eyes that he would fulfill her wish and now he cannot go back on that. He asks rahul to get update on indu’s bail case.

The lawyer tells the raina family that indu needs to lie in court regarding zoon to get bail in court. Vivek informs the same to indu. Indu refuses but vivek tells her that she needs to lie in court that she is compelled to keep zoon. Vivek tells her that if she ever wishes to see zoon again and reunite with her, then she needs to lie or else she will rot in jail forever.

Kadambari and sameer are out for a date in a cafe. Kadambari asks sameer as to why ritesh has cancelled shoots and events and he has also got into trouble with director kashyap. Sameer says he is busy with the kid that kadambari published as one day ka baap. Kadambari says interesting. Sameer asks her why she couldnt attend the ganpati event at the malhotra’s. Kadambari reminisces what the lawyer uncle told about her fathers death and his will. Indu’s dad has entered the cafe for receiving some payment. Kadambari and bobji see each other and recognize each other. Sameer sees kadambari shocked out of her wits. He asks kaddu what happened and she says that she needs to use the washroom and runs away. Bobji also recognises her as zoon mom and walks away. Sameer thinks that he needs to find the secret behind kadambari and indu and this old man since kadambari had a similar reaction on seeing indu on independence day.

Indu’s bail hearing- indu is brought to court. Asha, anjali and vivek see her and enquire about her. The hearing starts and the judge asks her if the allegation of keeping the child illegally is true. Indu says yes and then the judge asks her what is her explanation for it. Rahul and ritesh arrive at the hearing and are standing at the back. Indu mutters that zoon is her life. The judge repeatedly asks her to say something but indu stays mum. When her lawyer urges indu to answer the judge’s questions. Indu finally breaks her silence and lies that she was forced to keep zoon with her. Zoon’s mom abandoned her in a bus. She dropped the child at the bus depot but she had to attend to the kid, since she had fever. And then she was forced to take her responsibility as the kid started looking to her as her mouj and for the safety of the kids mental heath, she continued looking after her. Ritesh hears this and walks away in disgust. The judge is convinced and grants indu bail with immediate effect.

Vivek, asha and anjali surround indu and say they are happy she lied. Now that she is out, she can proceed with the process of trying to officially adopt zoon . indu asks vivek that she wants to meet zoon and vivek says that he has found out the child center where she stays. Vivek tells anjali and asha to leave for home and that he would take indu to meet zoon. Indu hugs asha and leaves with vivek.

Kaamna and vivaan are on the way to the center. Kaamna tells vivaan that indu has gotten bail and she will go to meet her but before that she will tell zoon that indu is not her mother.

Ritesh is angry at indu for all her fake mother daughter bond that she portrayed in front of him of not being able to stay away from the kid. He tells that indu is extremely cunning and can do anything for her benefit. Rahul asks now what they will tell zoon when ritesh says he will handle it but he will not let indu near zoon ever. He will adopt zoon tomorrow itself.

Precap: kaamna tells zoon that indu is not her mother. She is a liar and she has no real affection for zoon.

indu is restrained to not meet zoon.

Indu yells zoon name and zoon comes out

Rits character is getting butchered... I remembered the incident with Mahesh and his wife. There Rits said he is in the film industry and he can differentiate between an act and reality 🙄.... there he just heard Indu's cries and words and figured out she was saying the truth and Mahesh was lying.... aur ab ....

I would not call it butchering. That incident with mahesh, he had an open non-judgemental mind which could assess both sides and decide who was the liar.

Here his prejudices against indu since day 1 of being zoon mom plays a major factor, the moment he hears something that could justify his actions/his judgement about her, he is just latching onto it and validating his own judgement. Its normal human nature. If we dont like someone and that someone does even a small thing wrong, we justify our dislike by amplifying their wrong.

Yeah that makes sense too but from someone who could differentiate between acting and reality, I will be majorly surprised if he doesnt think even a little bit after this initial disgust and takes everything at face value... he saw Indu crying in jail and he knew she didnt know he was there. She had no reason to inform him and tell about the allergy. When so many things are in front of you and facts are contradicting each other, it is also natural for genuine people to wonder what is true and what is fake. He will prove himself as a complete egotist if he doesnt even once think about it and it is difficult for me to root for him later on 😔

For me, the first act of separating zoon from indu itself is wrong.All these days she wished for a papa. Now by his act, she doesnt even have a mama. So is it ok especially now that he can see that she is even refusing to have food without her mouj. also when ever he has met her, she has always been a very chirpy and happy kid unlike now where she is always having a permanent gloomy face. Her face lights up only at the idea of meeting her mouj.
For me, there was a certain amount of ego behind the act. Even if indu is the terrible mom that he thinks her to be, so what? Did zoon come and ask him to be rescued? Zoon wanting papa != zoon not wanting mouj. So on what grounds did he separate the two in the first place. From then on he is only validating his actions whenever he feels guilty looking at zoon. First the confirmation fromIndu mouj and now indu.

He says that zoon is the focus but zoon’s wishes/Desire do not seem the focus for him at all. lets say what indu told is correct. Why could he not put his contempt aside and wait and ask indu to accompany him to zoon? If she had refused him, then its a different thing.

Yes, he is shown to have a tunnel vision in this regard, where he is projecting his own thoughts and assuming that is what Zoon needs even though she has clearly been asking for the opposite from him, and that is resulting him in being even more unjust to InZo. Hope he does have some sort of guilt creep in this week and we find him atleast on humanitarian grounds, having InZo meet for sometime.
