Spoken Urdu is okay...since am used to it through Bollywood films, Pak dramas, etc.. actually these novels are mostly not translated. I wish they were available in the romanized form, you know with roman alphabets. But only a few very famous ones are available that way. This whole interest grew in me after watching this old Indian tv drama called Farmaan. It was based on this Urdu novel and the story was about how this girl who goes to work on an estate of an aristocratic (Nawabi) family as a secretary and eventually falls in love with the son of the family whom she initially hates thinking him to be a spoilt brat of an aristocrat...which he is initially. But he also changes and she grows to understand him better. It also had an onscreen kiss...can you imagine? this was made in the 1990s for Indian national television. Rekhta has the whole novel but in the Urdu script. So I tried to learn it...but was very difficult to stay motivated...😆

Yeah as for Sadia, the story is written so that you empathise with her despite knowing what she did to Basit was wrong. I love that quality about this script that it allows for human frailty, that one can make mistakes and then one can regret, and that simply because someone made a mistake doesn't make them into a negative character.

Like what Basit said at the graveyard, you had thought I was alright with my father, but I wasn't alright. I was never alright. Sadia hurt Basit unknowingly, left him traumatised and scarred for life.

Oh god! Yes Qudsia's dealing with Talal and his mom, really you want to throttle her at the time.

hahaha..Soha and Basit really had no chemistry. But I didn't mind since was waiting eagerly at the time for Ayesha's entry into Basit's life. Soha has a nice scene around ep4-5...can't tell for sure which epi..but you will know when you see it...

You mean to say how many times I gonna rewind it😉😳

Right said ... we all are human nd commit mistakes... but at times damage is so severe that you can't expect your regret can make up for other person's suffering...

The only reason it is necessary for basit to forgive his mom is, to make peace with his life...

That I can't see happening anytime soon...

Even in 2nd episode wafa topic is brought up..

So basit is convinced that his mom cheated nd his wife will cheat him too.. this gonna make things difficult for ayet relationship...

I am hoping against hope that they won't take usual MU track🤞🤞... but chances are it'll happen... if not now but in future episodes...

I hope we get better story to cherish nd show won't become unbearable towards its end...

@bold hahaha..yesssss....

And very true about how the forgiveness is important for Basit to get peace in his own life. That scene of the two of them on the balcony from the ost makes me think he will find that peace. In fact, I think he has already started on the journey to make peace with his past and his mum. And while he might misunderstand Ayesha initially, I think by facing his deepest fear (the possibility of his wife abandoning him, betraying him) head-on, he will be able to recover from this anxiety and insecurity that has dogged his footsteps all this time. I think we will see him becoming more possessive about Ayesha but he will have to convince her that he loves her and that she is special in his eyes. This is one thing that Ayesha has no faith in. She thinks that Basit is turning to her for comfort from his grief and his fear of loneliness. But she has to believe that he genuinely cares for her as a person and not simply as a source of comfort. And I am hoping this will be shown...how Basit convinces Ayesha that he loves her as a person, for who she is.

I am also expecting Ayesha Omar as Soha to return in the future, perhaps come to his office. This might make Ayesha feel insecure since she had been told categorically that she had no place in Basit's office. And once again, how will Basit deal with that? And then the money exchanged between Basit and Qudsia, I wonder how Ayesha will feel once she finds out. I think till now she has stood up to Basit as his equal despite everything. But if that matter of the cheque comes out, that will make her feel very small indeed. How will Basit then convince her that she has power over him, that she has haq on him and his everything...he hasn't done a very good job on that front till date.

The story sounds interesting... haha ... even though I hvnt watched much of old cinema but i feel Bollywood/itv hv been always bold with their content...

there are some urdu romance audiobooks available on youtube...it is always a risk like sometimes the novel can turn out to be great and sometimes total nightmares, glorifying abusive toxic relationships, etc etc. There's no telling from the outside.

and yes, I guess so...about the boldness. Farmaan was the first itv show I fangirl-ed about! found it on youtube and then found a friend who had also watched it. We stayed up one entire night raving about it...🤪

Which scene? Where they r sitting content resting head on each other ?

He is trying to move on nd in process accepting ayesha whole heartedly... his main test will start when he'll be completely involved with ayesha( start loving her), with that his fear of betrayal will increase too... and like you said it'll be interesting to see how he let go of all fears nd also make ayesha believe he loves her for the person she is and not just for the sake coz they are married or she is his responsibility...

They hv long way ahead before they actually get that peace ...

As for money matter, I want for once ayesha to confront her mom and not him.. honestly I don't see him wrong here... he wasn't the one who offered money but her greedy mom demanded it ..

And I so agree this gonna be real tough for ayesha coz she'll feel so low in front of basit. Nd this inferiority complex will worsen the things further.

Like you I wanna see too how basit will make her understand that she belongs to him nd has right on his everything...

@bold hopefully that will mean more episodes for us!!! I really do not want this show to end too soon! 🤪 Though at the same time I don't want any misunderstandings to stay unresolved for too long. Hopefully the makers can deliver on this very conflicting set of demands! 😆

That scene in the ost where Ayesha sits on the bed with a face that shows that while grief-stricken, she can't even cry...and Bano hugs her from behind...I think that will happen after this money thing comes out..I know you think Ayesha will blame Basit. And you are right. It was not Basit who offered money first. Qudsia brought it up. And Ayesha should know her mother well enough by now to understand how things must have played out between Basit and Qudsia...but yeah, we have to wait and see how that is handled in the show.

Basit has already shown to Ayesha that she belongs to him, that he controls her life now. But he is yet to come to the realisation that he belongs to her and I cannot wait for him to prove this to Ayesha.
