I will give my review in short as this movie should be watched more than told or written about. It's a fantastic and entertaining movie and the only credit goes to the vfx. The vfx is the real hero of the movie. There's no great story. It's a simple story of a man who realizes his inner supernatural power through love and in the end he realizes that his biggest strength is his love and not his powers.

The plus points

1. VFX of course. Without this much vfx this movie would have failed badly as there's nothing much in it. People should really watch this movie for the amazing vfx. No wonder Ayan took almost 10 years to finish this movie. Such a movie with expensive and grand vfx will obviously take long time.

2. Ranbir was fantastic in the movie. His acting was superb. I enjoyed watching his acting. He is a damn good actor and needs to do more movies.

3. The background music is excellent too. The Hindu shlokas in the background made the movie more interesting. Those shlokas gave me goosebumps.

4. SRK was really brilliant in his tiny role. His action, stunts, facial expressions were good. I wish he had more role in the movie. Nagarjuna too was good in whatever little he got to do and so were Amitabh Bachchan and Dimple Kapadia.

5. Dev and Amrita story. They gave an introduction to the story and the way they started it, I am sure more and more viewers would be interested to know their story. In fact I am looking forward to the next part and I hope Ayan doesn't take another 10 years to finish that movie. Hope their story is presented well and doesn't end up being annoying like Shiv-Isha love story.

6. Last but not the least, Mouni Roy. She was awesome in the movie. I never liked her acting in any of the shows I had watched but this is the first time I liked her work. She was really good playing Junoon.

Negative points

1. Usually Ayan's movies have good stories but unfortunately Ayan focused so much on spending money on vfx that he literally forgot he had to work on the story too. It seems like he wanted his next movie to have lot of vfx so didn't pay attention to story. I hope his next movie will have a strong story.

2. Shiv-Isha love story was forced and boring. As everyone said Shiv-Isha took even lesser than 2 minutes to fall in love with each other. Their love story was shoved down peoples throats. Whenever the movie would get interesting with all the Astras and Shiva's parents part Ayan would suddenly add their romantic scenes and I would be like, band karo inka bakwaas romance aur story ko aage badhao.

3. Alia Bhatt was poor in the movie. She's a good and talented actress but this role was not made for her. Maybe Parineeti or Shraddha suited this role more than her. At one point of time her character got irritating and the best part of the movie was when she was not there.

4. The dialogues in the first half were stupid and dumb. They got somewhat better after Shiva reached the ashram though there were still some stupid dialogues.

Overall the movie was entertaining. People should really watch it. I would rate it 3/5

Karan Johar is such an insecure and manipulative person, posting "75" crores....First of all, UMMMMM.... you're not supposed to count international collections in your BO Reports. Everyone knows that.

If that is the case, then we need to go back and add international collections to War, KGF and all those high-grossing films.

Dont tell me KGF made 50crore in India and compare that to 75cr "worldwide"
