I found his take on the popularity of The Secret Lives of Bollywood Wives quite interesting. He seems to be aware that the show is cringy and unintelligent, even artificial. But it sure has grabbed a lot of eyeballs, despite all the trolling.

That’s true for movies as well, where people talk about wanting to watch intelligent movies, but box office collections of such movies says otherwise. They talk about nepotism, but rarely make stars out of outsiders.

Does this mean that Steve Jobs was right and people shouldn’t be asked what they want (because they don’t really know the answer)? 🤔

he is a business man down and out and will run after whatever is in trend or fashion and wants to sell

the problem is not so much him, he chooses to be who he is but our media or general audience

i think in India we dont have a perspective of whom to ask what or where does anybody's opinion or fit is

example, we will call bollywood stars for cricket to everything under the sun which they know zilch about

they will be asked opinion on everything from politics to climate change

kjo is a average completely commercial filmaker, he will be at every film event giving opinion equating alia to streep and talking about the best films in india on every platform, why is he an authority while actual achievers who cant market themselves will be ignored

that is the problem, treat ppl according to their expertise and ability
