So basically she has asked and got casted in almost ALL of her movies .
It must be awesome for her that she can pick whichever movie she sets are sights on. So sad for the other actresses who have to work so hard to get noticed.
Nothing new. Many actors do it.
Recently Kartik Aaryan said in his interview with Anupama Chopra that he is shameless when it comes to asking for the role.

I don't find it "shameless" or in any way negative to ask a director or casting director or whoever one thinks could help to get a role one wishes to do (at least one has tried).
My take was about Alia and the bashing she gets since so long. There is no need to tell certain things, to add fuel to the fire...adding everything she (seemingly???) already told about private things (and b e f o r e knowing if Brahmastra becomes a success the casting process also should be kept private, imo), she gives (again imo) an impression of immaturity (which absolutely doesn't reflect in many roles she did).
Edit: Pinkvilla is a reliable source? Not in my opinion...
