If someone said “Bollywood bad acting” I’d ask if they are talking about a particular movie/movies

Bollywood has always put more emphasis on looks than talent.But back in the day everyone had their distinct personality and style. These days, all of them patronize the same doctors and stylists,get their wardrobe from the same people and coached by PR.

My one advice to them is not to tinker with their minor flaws to make them perfect. I think Vidya Balan's hawk nose makes her stand out from the crowd. But anyone else would have got it corrected to make their profile look better.

And it's not as if outsiders are doing any better. Talent wise Sid,Karthik,Kiara,Kriti are all lagging. Alia, Deepika, Ranbir and Ranveer are so much better than them. But there also a bunch of talented people (insiders and outsiders) like Sanya Malhotra, Vikrant Massey, Ali Fazal,Radhika Madan and Pranutan Bahl who are promising. All of them keep a low profile and do not make any controversial statements(barring Ali) or date anybody famous. So they do not get equal attention as debutants unlike the Ananyas and Shanayas.

Karan. coz he keeps launching people without even auditioning them...like proper genuine auditions not his fake I'll send someone over to your home you pretend audition waala.. and seeing him rest of the producers n film makers are also doing the same. It has become a cesspool of inbreds doing favours to eachother over the years so no variety neither in looks nor skills.

Honestly this is why these OTT series are such a hit. Shefali Shah in Delhi Crime/Darlings is phenomenal. People like Sobhita Dhulipala, Tillotama Shome have gotten lots of praise for their acting. And let’s be honest, their one performance was probably better than a career best of a Sonam/Kareena.

Acting department is related to the actors and Director. They both should be blamed.. Director more as I think he is the one who say "ok" for a "Take" right?

Directors and actors both are to be blamed, but there is another factor screenplay & writing are mediocre. So can not fully blame if the director or actor were not able to perform because of the script writing.

Bollywood has no originality, even the one they take inspiration or copy do horrible job by choosing wrong directors and actors, also adapting the story for local audience. They go by popularity not by if the actor/actress will be able to do perform the character.

Unless and until they do not improve and stop PR games, they will continue to tank.
