Well I don’t think Varun is as praised as them.

But your saying all of the above people are average and are called good/great . So worse and worse people are allowed to enter Bollywood thru this vicious cycle ? Is that what your saying ?

I have no comments about other people who are joining. Problem is the ones who are already there are all praised unnecessarily and seem to believe their own PR. So they don't improve.

I mean, Anupama Chopra actually said there's no such thing as a bad Ranbir Kapoor performance. Really? After watching Shamshera? The few clips I saw were so bad they were good. Wasn't there something about 83 being Ranveer's career-defining performance? Pretty mediocre career if that's the case. Re; Varun... maybe not now, but around Badlapur, October times, he was really praised.

That could all be true. But still these 3 + Alia can’t be held responsible for everyone else bad acting 😆

PS: Anupama is elitist and Ranbir is one note. Imho he should do more Ajab Prem type movies. He’s good in that

Aur ek baat hai jo directors hain wo actors se kaam nikalwana bhul gaye hain, Salman ka suna hai ki kuchh shot de dega acting to koi expect nahi karta to director bhi sare takes ok kar deta hai

Lekin jab SLB jaisa director Deepika ka wo asthma wala take ok kiya matlab uska movie me interest sirf aur sirf khilji par hai

Average performances are being hyped to the heavens.

The new-gen actors, despite their mediocrity, are getting tailor-made careers. Students usually improve after exams right? These guys get the question papers itself and still manage to just pass or get grace marks to make it to the next level 😆

Also the ones who are talented aren't getting the kind of projects that would appeal to the masses...so there's no scope for them to improve, or showcase their actual potential.

These 3 + Alia are pretty much the face of mainstream BW now. So when peeps say BW actors are mediocre, who else do we talk about?😕

Karthik is up and coming, but no one actually praises his acting. The rest are too insignificant at the moment.

I guess they are the most famous ( if we’re excluding the older people) But I still wouldn’t blame anyone else’s troubles on them.

But I did not blame anyone else's troubles on them. When you say bad Bollywood acting, who else should you mean because they ARE Bollywood now? They can't get away by pointing to B-listers who're barely noticed.
