Hi, I am having an issue with notification since quite sometime. It works well sometimes, but mostly there is lag between being tagged in the post and getting notifications. I refresh/reload website everytime I access it (mostly on phone) but notification is 80% of time received after 13-15 hours of being tagged😭

I am writing re the question asked and answered by you.

I can understand why the feature has been disabled and the privacy issues too but as a member and an avid reader of fanfictions, i am unable to see and know if there is something new written by writers or even access their indexes. So we are currently in the blind where new stories are concerned.

Also, when you bring it back with an option, those who have stopped writing or visit IF rerely, but their work is still on IF, we will not be able ro read their stuff. That will be very sad.
We all know that IF is an open forum so i want you to reconsider this issue so that we all can read, comment and enjoy the fabulous work of other fellow members.

I have something to add to this. Sometimes in big discussion threads certain members post relevant information which was very easy to access through their posts, without having to go through 100 pages of discussion.

While I like the idea of memebers getting to choose who can see their posts tab, the above concern might remain. If there is some way you can work around this issue, that would be appreciated.

If you know which thread has the post that you want to find, you can still go into that thread and use the Post Quick Jump feature on the right side to choose the member whose posts you want to find in that thread.

Other than this specific situation ... yes, we need to be able to visit consenting members' profiles and find out what interests we share through their posts. As I've said before, the more topics of interest we find, the more we'll participate and that's more advertising revenue for India Forums.

I totally agree wuth you. Like, right now i am reading stories that i have bookmarked but i will not know of any new discussion/contest/tecommendations by members and other stuff if i cannot access the posts of other members. Unless someone tags me or sends me a message, but with thousands of IF members and dozens of forums and discussions taking place at any given time, it is am impossible task it seems. anyway, i hope the admins take our concerns seriously.
