It's the crux of his character, the source of all his miseries ..that he can't forgive her and he is damaged emotionally . So I was rewatching the birthday scene and I spotted this face that looked familiar...then I remembered that she had been one of the guests at Ayet's walima. I love these tiny details that the show pays attention to which makes the world of Basit and Ayesha that much more real for the viewer...

😆I think the heart attack came from the fact that she realised at that moment the depth of his misery. Just how badly her leaving had hurt him and left him scarred for life.

But yess...there is no end to the nitty gritties that we can endlessly discuss...and Habs has that capacity where I think each viewer can interpret the scenes in their own way because not everything is voiced but a lot of things come out in the expressions..like when Ayesha was sitting with Sadia and going through the photo albums, I felt that while she saw Sadia's love for Basit and her sorrow or regret over the past, she must have been wondering to herself that if Sadia loved Basit so much, how could she leave? But it was never voiced...the question lay in Ayesha's eyes.

Can we go back to the scene of Ayesha being in his study room? His private space.. His safe haven.. It is perhaps the smallest room in the whole big villa, but we can find the most valuable belongings there.. Emotional value..

Saying that he had said farewell and buried his mom doesn't mean he has done his share of grieving and mourning.. Suppose this is a process which is always there just like the quote says too..

No.. This boy is in pain for years with unresolved issues of abandonment resulting in commitment issues.

He is still in the first phases of mourning I think.. He is holding on to anger.. And there in the privacy of his study he can let go.. He can cry and hold on to his memories, to all what was and is dear to him.. His drawings, letters, childhood books and even a trophy..

He did admit to Ayesha and Farhad that he is scared shitless and it will take him time. She says she knows now he is capable of love.. In fact he still loves his mom.. They just need to speak to each other and clear everything out..

I have seen the promo.. His mom will read his letters and he will walk in on her..

Guys, I know this is a thread where we engage in lighthearted banter and fangirling over shows. But we all come from the real world and are aware of the real issues of the day. I guess we are all following the escalating and horrible situation of the floods in different parts of Pakistan. I am trying to find out which agency to donate to that is most suitable for Indians (Khalsa Aid did substantial work during the earthquakes) but meanwhile here is a link to a list of places that donations can be made to
