Okay so I was watching episode 3 of Habs and felt quite irritated that Basit had the sense of giving flowers to Soha, smile at her and even engage in an almost playful banter but he doesn’t do any of this for Ayesha. He could have given her flowers or something at the night of their wedding or walima. I feel like Ayesha’s insecurity is in some way justified because Basit (apart from secretly gazing at her or looking for her) takes no steps to improve their relationship. It seems like he’s not invested (even if we know that he is). Why do you think is that?
Basit seems like he has the general idea of what women appreciate. He tells Soha that all women like flowers. Why not make a similar gesture for Ayesha, who’s actually his wife?!
I am waiting for the time when he takes these steps towards her.
I understand but how do you think Ayesha might have reacted had Basit brought flowers the day they went to the restaurant to talk (the time when Zoya and Bobby interrupted them)...what I feel is when cutting a deal, Basit is very good...so he knew what would make Soha appreciate his overtures and with Ayesha he realised nothing short of the actual truth would suffice to get Ayesha to agree to marrying him. Also I think one of the reasons why he laid out all the truth before Ayesha was him trying to get her to sympathise with him, feel bad for him, understand how helpless he was. hehe...that majboori thing. Because he knew Ayesha had that side to her which had made her wait for him to feel better before approaching him for money though she herself was in great need at the time.
But yeah..now after marriage I think Basit is slowly understanding that Ayesha needs more from him. Hopefully he will understand and send those flowers (from the ost clip)
