What is a 10 word story. Can you give an example?
A story centered around character(s) that is written in 10 words. Few examples for reference: (from the link mentioned below )
- She waited. He called. They talked. Silence. His breath caught.
- Doorbell. Sweet intent. Lies in waiting? Hysteria. The world awaits.
- Grocery store. Mass chaos. Baby food aisle. Matriarchs duel: life.

It’s strictly going to be in English ?? Or Hindi words are allowed to be used ? (writer can give translations for non Hindi understanding judges )
Hindi/English. No other language. But write the story in one language and avoid Hinglish.
Would it be ok if the stories contain 1-2 words extra or they should be only within 12 words?
No, the story has to be of 8-12 words.

What do you exactly mean by "story", ek line ki story kaise ho sakti hai...does it need to be like a tagline?
10 word story is a thing (link in above question), and no, it's not a tagline.

You have mentioned "Multiple entries are allowed", any particular number of entries? Coz since its a ten word story, and we have more than 2 weeks time, thought we can send as many as possible. So wanted to be clear about exactly how many is allowed?
Yes, you can send as many as you want to submit. There is 2 weeks time so that the participants have time to think and be as creative as they want to be.

Why there is no limit for maximum entries? Why so less word limit?
This contest, with its limited word limit, is a challenge for people with experience and a way for newbies to start considering writing, so we don't want to put a stop on the no of entries. Someone said that they might read all the entries just for small length of the stories and that's why the more stories, the better.
Are articles included in 8 to 12 words?
Yes. Go to grammarly.com and type in your entries. It will give you the word count and we are using it to for reference.

Can it be on a real life memory about food??
Yes
Should the story revolve around food? Or can I make it only a part of the story?
The story can revolve around food or food can only be a part of it. It is an open canvas, the writers are free to shape their story anyway. The story has to include a food item, or speak about eating or drinking, or cooking and ingredients.
Is it acceptable if the eating is implied?
The implication of eating shouldn't be way too open ended and the theme of 'food' shouldn't be lost.
