IIRC they didn't like her live-in relationship with Vikram Bhatt. Her family also took all her money. I believe her dad did her finances and took them, she sued her family for it. She was well educated, smart, good movies, everything went downhill. I guess her family cut her off...they don't even mention her anymore.

Ameesha is hilarious, isn't she? And we didn't even notice it at the time the movie released.Only Desi was at his sarcastic best on his revisit video on Youtube. I love how he scrutinizes and trashes all our 90-2000s favorites. I can't even be angry at him or because what he's saying is true. Which is a different thing from what other youtubers like Jaby and the rest. Being a smartass for the sake of it. Indian movies are a gold mine for crazy acting. You don't need to trash a well-made movie like Jodha-Akbar every 10s for a few laughs.
