True, good point this was a moment when bw kind of moved towards cliques in a way and eliteness away from the audience. Dch was a great movie but gadar was never acknowledged though it broke records. Same with when company or satya probably the films which captured underworld and Bombay the best were ignored, in company’s year it was k3g which got all the accolades.

I agree, I find it hypocritical to ignore slb’s style when he called RRR mindless. He said it is to west what everything everywhere is for him, almost like if the west makes over the top it’s ok.

I find his films very heavily influenced by European cinema including dev d and GoW

It is a bit too much to expect 15-20 year old audience to get excited for movies of 60 year old guys, that too for the films that stink right from the trailer itself. No amount of promotion and marketing by Amir Khan would have saved Laal Singh Chaddha.

I am of opinion that Amir Khan is an exceptionally mediocre actor with some astute marketing skills who has always starred in some very well written films. He seems to pick some very good scripts. I wonder if Mansur Khan choses the scripts for him.

Also people focus too much on Box office collection than on footfalls which I think are as important as money collected if not more.

Saif is the worst of loose tongued 90s stars.

The man remains in his own world and does not realise ground reality. 90% of hate his wife, kids, sister, mom get is due to his foolish actions and words.

He is lucky that bhakts like Ajay and Kajol were in Tanhaji otherwise that film would be boycotted too purely due to him.

I wonder what is use of his education and being well read when he does not know what to say and when.

I am sure the Khans would love to move on to the next phase of their career, but they are simply unable to because there are no successors for them.

None of the new gen has been able to fill the giant shoes these 3 have walked in. Hrithik managed it somewhat, but he just doesnt make enough movies.

Ranbir, Ranveer, Shahid all started off promising and then just couldnt capitalize on the initial love they got from the audience.

So then, who is going to headline the big budget movies? The old, but undefeated crew are asked to carry on this responsibility and they continue to do so in the hope that somewhere, some miracle will happen and a story/script will click with the audience leading to a comeback
