Such a nice epi today again! The way they are building up Dev-Vidhi right now is so subtle and heartwarming *touchwood*

I didn't think we would get such a sweet continuation/conclusion to the car ride scene todayšŸ˜†. Slowly but surely, Vidhi is managing to make a deep impression on Dev. The way she says things in the simplest, most matter of fact way but somehow still manages to give pause to Dev and make him reflect. Like her ice cream party/treat wala funda today and the way Dev smiled when she said that anything you happily eat with your family is as good as a party onlyšŸ˜†

Now I'm wondering if the makers had this arc about Dev's sorry planned all along when they showed him going overboard in shouting at Vidhi the other dayšŸ˜†.....because the sorry came about when we least expected it....lol Dev didn't reflect on his behavior that day but today he was apologizing sincerely to her after realizing on his own - without needing a reminder/nudge šŸ˜†. But then lo and behold, Vidhi so matter of factly told him that he owes her an apology for the PREVIOUS incident, not the one from todayšŸ˜†.....and the way Dev's eyes just crinkle in amusement as he repeats once again in bemused awe "Kya HO tum"šŸ˜†.....and then chuckles ki who keeps hisaab kitaab of sorry and thank you? šŸ˜†....toh Vidhi calmly says that yeh sab toh yaad reh hi jaata haišŸ˜†.....this is NORMAL for her and then Dev again cracks up saying that nothing can be normal when it comes to heršŸ˜†.....kal tak toh this guy was just doing smiles in amusement hearing her chatter but today he progressed into full on open throated laughter šŸ˜†.

He switches between being amused at her fundas and then talking to her like she's a child that he has to patiently give an explanation to pacify her whimsies šŸ˜†.....bol diya ki yeh aaj wala sorry us din ki galti ke liye ADJUST kar dena and aage ke saare sorry/thank yous ka balance sheet bana lenašŸ˜†....Dev couldn't even contain his amusement once he got back in the car and was even laughing with his driver ki suna tumne? Sorry ka bhi hisaab kitaab hota hai? lol toh his driver remarks ki this is the first time he's seen his boss laughing openly like this.

And they continued the thread even later on as Dev thinks about Vidhi's ice cream party funda when he's sitting at the dinner table with his family and trying to lighten the atmosphere....slowly but surely, Vidhi's fundas are sticking with him - he thinks about her philosophies even when she's not in front of him....lol

It was a well balanced epi overall even with the family scenes on both side....as usual, the Vidhi side of the family scenes were nicer....I liked how the ladies all rallied and convinced Vidhi's dad to accept the gifts without making some long term drama out of it. Dev's family as usual is pressing him about getting married on the other side but he's brushing them off as usual....lol

On a random note, Vidhi's lingo is quite hilarious....the kind of words she uses like "CHILLAPOT"🤣.....all her mannerisms have really grown on me....even the way she rambles to herself and then goes "Nahin nahin"šŸ˜†

I think this is my fav episode so far.ā¤ļøšŸ˜† Sach main kyabladki hai vidhi..how sweetly she went sorry toh bolna hai but not for today and I was glad that she didn't tried to act oh so kighty and was like it is fine but do it for the mistake you didšŸ˜† itna smple sa ban show wala sorry and his kya ho tun in return was the highlight..vidhi ka conused sa look in return..and itni bholi gai ke samjh bhi nahi aayi his joke about balance sheet of thankyous and sorryšŸ˜† Dev ko kitna dilnse hahaha and then later choti si baat main kitne enjoy kar rahe thay with ice cream and hownit helped dev to lighten the mood on his side and enjoy the dinner too kaise she helped him in that unknowingly and when bhi family wala mahaoul bana for the bit when they all acted like one.. very sweet.. but sabse zyada what I lield was she is shown to be aware like after all this too she didn't just got busy in her own happiness the way she has been noticing something is off with her dad and asked again bina trying to be some ott protective child bas ek normal sa Ehsas khayal.. lovely to see. Her mother handled the whole finances bit really well and kept khyal of both ki imsha and balanced it very smartly thay gifts aren't as such part of her kammai ya usse kuch le lena of her haq it is something she is doing for her own happiness and that itna she should be allowed to decide for herself..

Precap main she seems to have landed at the right spot once again by mistake.šŸ˜†

Viddhi really impressed me today she realises dev owes her an apology that was very well done very smooth šŸ‘ this is the first time dev was actually happy in the series ..

On one hand dev and viddhi's story is quite progressive but their families are stuck in 1970's or something.. I actually felt bad for priya today they are going to extra lengths like involving abhimanyu in business getting ashirwad from Milapni devi to make their relationship work but won't let priya work due to some promise made a hundred years ago. I hope dev convinced satyavati to let go of this kasam it just leaves a bad taste in mouth when u hear such dialogues like hamare ghar ki bahu kaam nai karti in this day and age.

She is just so unassumingly cute yaaršŸ˜†.....it's a rare quality on ITV right now where girls try extra hard to "act cute" and its just become a turn off.....but Vidhi is like a whimsical namoona of her own kindšŸ˜†.

Word...I also liked that despite her otherwise spaced out ways, they showed her perceptive enough to sense that something is off with her dad....I think they have established that she shares a special bond with her father and is sensitive to his mood changes too.....all in all, the simplicity of the scenes continues to appeal to me....the father is old school but at the same time you can't say he doesn't genuinely love his daughter....his worries and frustrations are realistically shown. Just the way this family interacts is overall heartwarming to me in all its shades.

Haha at precap with Vidhi landing at the right place bhatakte bhatakte as usual....lol but I wonder if she will figure out the truth about her dad yet or he'll make an excuse to deflect.

Agla big story build up will be for Vidhi ka Economics exam and then the Jagrata I think. Dev will bring Abhi-Priya to the Jagrata for MD (Milapini Devi) ke darshan.

LOL you may be shocked to know that such rich families still very much exist in today's world. It has nothing to do with being in 1970 or 2022. Rich families tend to be conservative by nature many times and its more about image/perception management when they don't want the women of their families to work in offices.....in the 70s, women were considered to be good for nothing other than housework maybe....but now they don't want women to work cuz they feel it will make their sons look inferior in comparison šŸ˜†.....in the 70s, you didn't have scenarios where sons wanted to sit home and cook while the wife wanted to be a CEO in the office.....lol so the stakes are different for those trying to suppress working women now.

As for Priya, she is no angel just cuz she is frustrated about not getting to work. No one is stopping her from walking out of this marriage if she considers her husband such a loser and feels "caged" by this family.....why is she sitting there all day berating them about EVERYTHING constantly? I haven't seen her be nice to a single person....not even her own kid....are we to justify all this simply cuz she's frustrated about not getting to work in an office? Yeah that doesn't fly with me. Nothing justifies misbehavior just cuz of your professional frustrations in life.

Anyways, this entire scenario is a parallel to the Mahabharat storyline of Satyavati and Bhishma trying to prop up the male successors of the throne at any cost even when they weren't qualified to be Kings....same is happening here with Abhi not really being capable of handing the business but Satyavati wants the Raichand lineage to be maintained via her son, not the daughters or DILs. This is about power and Priya very well knew what she was marrying into as Satyavati reminded her yesterday....she just wanted the power of being the wife of a powerful man and she is frustrated that her husband isn't powerful like she wanted him to be. Satyavati is trying to manage the balance of power and keep it in her son's favor rater than letting her DIL take over.

I'm glad that Dev's previous angry outburst was addressed and not swept under the rug. Usually, characters will forget these things and we too will be expected to. Good to see Vidhi remind Dev in her usual timid manner. And Dev amusement at what Vidhi said about keeping an account of 'sorrys' is refreshingly kept simple and subtle.

+1....I like that they are keeping the interaction simple and subtle on these things so far. And yes, I was pleasantly surprised they didn't brush the sorry under the carpet as is usually the case in most shows these days that we are expected to forget things as the story erratically jumps from one track to the next.

So late to catch up on the episode šŸ˜‚ but agreed on the way the scene was executed lol. Was expecting a "sorry" but boy, the scene actually astonished me just like Dev's laughter hahaha. Dev's line of keeping hesab-keetab of sorry & thank you by Vidhi, not only made Dev burst into laughter but so did me, as a viewer. I like such experiments with scenes and executions wherein simplicity and nuances are kept intact + surprise executions. Even the driver's dialogue of cracking Dev up by Vidhi's goofiness was nicely done. šŸ˜†Lmao, balance sheet of hesab-ketab just was funny. šŸ˜† I felt when, in the beginning Vidhi said to drop her at the bus stop and how she'll walk from there was kinda parallel to how Dev said he'll walk after the auto dropped him. Dunno but felt some parallel here lol.

Baaki, Priya can walk out of her marriage if she wants. The mother stated that her father knew of this promise so I think maybe the father didn't tell her or he did but she kept living in delusion and released it via her frustration and the touchy touchy lines. Lmao, all I thought of her was frustrated furniture of the house, who just kept cribbing about her failures and stuff.

Like you all mentioned, family scenes were handled nicely. As NM said, Vidhi mainly asking if all is well nicely done. She didn't play the guessing game but only asked if the dad's okay just from his behavioral habit displayed when he's tensed about something. Even the mother was rightly balancing her role from mother supporting Vidhi to spend her money with happiness + her husband’s POV as to not spending Vidhi's money.

Lol, regarding Dev's family scene, only thing I liked was Dev's response to not getting wife from internet because she'll be burdened with household matter and stuff. šŸ˜†Otherwise, the way the mother talked about "match-making sites" being latest trend when it's already been there. Lol, kinda felt a bit hysterical with the step-mother still being oblivious about it lol.
