Such a talented singer and musician as we have seen. We also heard that he was a footballer and a Karate Black Belt - a district level champion. And now we hear that he has reached up to National Level in Art and Craft as well!

In one of the interviews his father had said he played chess. In his recent IV with the a South Africa radio channel, PD was asked what he would do if not a musician and his answer was sports. cricket, soccer/football swimming….
He is very artistic. His drawings are very good. 👍
In the radio IV the last question was if he is in a relationship and his smart answer was yes sir, with music 😂

True - I was very surprised at that. A fleet footed athlete with a sense of rhythm - and the ability to do two different things together like play tabla / dholak and sing - but still can't dance to save his life!!
And his drawings - that tattoo he made on Arunita's hand was at a whole different level compared to what she did! Ditto in the cards in the above interview.

Hush! Those kurtas he has been wearing recently look like they have been bought in Gariahat in Kolkata. 😄
I remember this drawing too. Very quickly done and yet so good!
And I agree it is a big honour to be the headline act in this event. Unfortunately I have missed it because I had to go outside!

I don't know for sure if they are from Kolkata - that was just in jest, because there are quite a few shops in that area which are famous for Kurtas. And they do tend to look like these :)
I have an early morning tomorrow but I just couldn't stop myself from staying up till now (quarter to 1) to watch the video on YT. That was awesome. Arunita was flawless, as you rightly said!

One thing that PD needs to learn from Arunita is how to slow down and enjoy each song that he sings. Not enjoy as in a party mode, but to savour it, relish it. She was so calm, relaxed, as if she is taking it sip by sip. He seemed to be rushed - increasing the tempo of songs, looking at his watch, minimising the number of lines sung.
If he can learns that from her, even his portions can be killer!

I used to admire his ability to quickly change songs and tempo but I miss hearing the whole song!
The program started early and had many speeches and dances before singing started and there were many guests of high profile there. I think he got less time and at one point he looked at his watch and I think it was 930 pm. He probably was asked to stop at a certain time and he finished with Mitti song , I think and quickly walked out!
He needs to deliver each song properly before rushing into next one! Agreed!

I would say reduce the number of songs covered but savour each song.
What Pankaj Udhas sang many decades ago applies to songs as well: "mazaa lenaa hai peene ja toh, kam kam, dheere dheere pi!"
