Mrinal...I think if leap happens, then Sumbul might be retained as well. And if they are going to show Arylie's daughter as a rich spoiled girl, that would be a total makeover for her, right. Though, I am not sure whether it's a wise decision by Gul, as the TRP audience might not accept such a sudden change in Sumbul's attire, plus Imlie's character now itself is having a disconnect with the audience. I am still wishing that she moves on especially if she still has movie offers as per the IV given to TOI this year Feb and below was exactly her words. And the interesting part is that at that time itself she had declined to play the role of a mother, though she has portrayed the feelings of a mother brilliantly many times since the pregnancy track started.

Can we see Sumbul playing Imlie for several years like it happens in daily soaps or would you like to do other stuff also in films and web, maybe with this show? Like Gashmeer would do Marathi films and web shows simultaneously, do you also not wish the same for your career? Have any offers come your way?

I wish the same for my career. Offers for films have come my way. Since I did Article 15, the same production house called me recently but since I am playing a lead in a daily soap, I am not able to get any time for other projects. I am focussing on one thing at a time.

I actually would like to explore more roles of my age and not of a mother right now. I am only 17 right now!

Digging more deeper into the happenings of the week Atif put out the exit tweet and after watching above IV of Sumbul, it looks like both the PH and channel, are testing waters by leaking the news to see how to take it further. And it's now almost sure that, if they are going with a generation leap then Sumbul will be retained. That's why channel/PH has come up with this IV of Sumbul. A sudden change in Sumbul's attires in the last 3episodes of RWSP too is making me to believe that Sumbul is staying back probably on the channel's request. And if they are dropping the idea of leap and are deciding to proceed with the show going offair, then first the time slot of Rajjo & Imlie will be interchanged with the latter's plug being pulled off gradually with an Arylie ending. That's why I guess this IV has Sumbul promoting Rajjo on a large scale. More than the leap, she was made to talk about Rajjo. Also Rajjo is being promoted by its producer Mukta dhond as 'A beautiful love story with no toxic masculinity', something similar to Arylie. Mukta is a renowned person in the TV industry and has been a part of shows like Rangrasiya, Sanjivani S1, Nagin 4, Divyadrishti either as a producer or as part of the creative team. So, faloodaji, it looks like all your predictions are coming true one by one. 😆

Well it's like killing the SuMaan buzz to make way for new ships that could be formed n the show with or without sumbul.

The show isn't flagship like yrk.

I sincerely feel she should move but again it's a lead role and if she is retained she might get to play something different. But if she has good opportunities a brilliant actress like her shouldn't be holding back. Again as I am unaware of whats happening in Gul's world I can just hope for minimum torture and atleast some good moments of Arylie before my ship of hope sinks. Gul does mention leads doesn't want to play parents but nothing about retaining Sumbul I feel if she wants her show to be watched post generation leap than she should have complete new pair because some of Arylie fans like me will definitely not continue.

I wish my predictions about the arylie track post wedding would have come true instead of this -- there was so much potential for some great arcs regarding arvind's death. instead, we were cheated. sigh.

but yea, my thoughts are simply based on watching previous serials and the stuff that happened now and then. difference is now we have social media and so there is a lot more noise. I have been wondering why on earth we had a baccha track in the first place. I didn't even like the pregnancy track either but it seemed it was a channel thing.

now, I am wondering if this generation leap chatter/development has been in the works a little before the pregnancy track. otherwise, why on earth would you explore pregnancy in a couple who had just been married? why not write a slowburn romance where they explore how they fall in love? in other serials, marriage to falling in love can take 200 episodes or more. here, we sped through it.

we kept wondering why were they rushing and not taking the time to develop a romance; why were they falling in love so quickly? maybe the writers had been running out of stories and there was already discussions between the channel and the production house for months. if that was the case, then we know why the tracks were moving so quickly and randomly. perhaps the production house was thinking the serial will end and so they were winding down the story but then the channel decided to keep the drama for now till they find something else to fill up the slot.

I know that in some english dramas, fan petitions have gained tractions enough to get another season. has that ever worked with ITV friends?

like some here, I feel this was only sudden for us but not necessarily for the production or the actors. rather than weeks, it may have been in the works for a few months perhaps. all of them more or less know their way forward and are unlikely to change their mind per se. fahmaan has couple of dramas on his CV and knows what he will and will not do as per his comfort. so fahmaan is more or less out. sumbul is young and does not have the experience yet of working with other teams and writers -- so maybe they are negotiating higher salary to keep her but she has to weigh that with growth as well. given how vague gul was in the tweets that has been shared on the forum, not sure if sumbul is for the leap or not. we will have to wait and watch to see what happens.

I was just joking Pooja. I am not at all shipping them. Because shipping mein itna hand burn hua tha ki now regional show dekhthe vakt evenif my hubby points out a pair and says they can be a nice real life couple, I will say aisa kuch nahin hai; they are actors and are used to creating chemistry with everyone. 🤣

And coming to killing the Sumaan buzz, I completely agree to it. Ye tactic tho mene kayi baar dekha hai. The both coming on the same day & copy-pasting same words in different IVs.... anybody with brains can sense what is the intention & who is behind it. But, I am glad that the duo just kept it as real as that, especially Fahmaan....🤣 He is as real a Gonchu as ASR is.

Taking forward the show with a generation leap sab log ki bas ki baat nahin hai. And those who has proceeded with one of the leads to play the son/daughter post leap has always fallen flat on it and was forced to shut the show in 2-3months. I don't want Sumbul to have her show end in such a manner after having a successful journey in these 2years. But then, we don't know her situations and hardships. So, will try to watch the show for her and if it's appealing might continue; if not will easily quit as then, there will be nil attachment to characters.
