Pretty much. Ranbir has made one good film in the last 8 years. With something like Jagga, you could see they were atleast trying to do something that didn't work. Now it's just all trash.

Aamir I think has bought into his own hype. So hopefully this is a nice reality check.

I have been a fan of Ranbir since wake up sid, all I see a career full of disappointments after the success of YJHD, only two clean hit since then. He has no idea what kind of script he needs to sign.

Aamir is finished as a superstar just like Akshay Kumar but they would be really proud of their careers when they were superstars.

Ranbir is an unfulfilled potential, it is a question why couldn’t he get mass fan following after working 15 years in the industry. The four years age gap does’t help stars much, it hampers their growth and they lose all the momentum. People quickly move on. It is not 90s and early 2000s.

Aamir is better than RK in every sense.

LSC was patchy and he was weak as young Lal but he was good as senior one and film did have its heart in right place.

Alia saved Brahmastra and their marriage and pregnancy hype made the film succeed. LSC was hardly marketed as well as Brahmastra. No comparison.

And sorry Ranbir will never be as iconic or big star with iconic hits like Aamir. He has always relied on hyping his personal life to remain relevant. He chooses crap scripts and is stuck in manchild roles. He will never give iconic hits and classics like Aamir gave.

This Ranbir vs Khans or past icons is a relic of past. Ranbir was never comparable to past icons and legends. He will have a successful career but will never be an era defining mass superstar or iconic as Khans or Bachchan or his own grandpa Raj Kapoor. He is more successful than his dad as solo lead though. If that is consolation. He chooses lame scripts and has listless screen presence.
