India vs West Indies 5th T20

Team India continued its dominant show against West Indies during the fourth T20I and has now clinched the series with one game left to play.

India has gained an unassailable lead against the West Indies in the 5-match T20I series by winning the 4th T20I by 59 runs. India continued their West Indies-leg dominance and started the USA leg on a high note as well.👏

West Indies decided to bowl first in the 4th T20I, which later proved to be a wrong decision by the skipper as India ended up piling 191 runs on the board. Rishabh Pant (44), Sanju Samson (30*), and Rohit Sharma (33) were the stars with the bat while Arshdeep Singh (3 wickets) was the top performer with the ball.

West Indies were bundled out for a mere 132. Avesh, Axar, and Ravi Bishnoi picked a couple of wickets each.

India will be aiming to finish the series on a high note by winning the last game as well. On the other hand, West Indies would be hoping to turn the tides here. A good contest is anticipated once again here.⭐️

Talking about West Indies, the Men in Maroon batters have let their team down in the series after not being able to score big runs despite getting reasonable starts with the bat.

Team India on the other hand has been quite impressive in all three departments of the game and will want to continue their winning run.

The wicket at Lauderhill, Florida is good for batting and it was evident during the fourth T20I, but the spinners have also got some turn from the wicket.

The skipper winning the toss might prefer to bowl first and chase the total later on. The weather is also expected to be clear for the match.

WI vs IND, 5th T20I Probable Playing XIs

West Indies:

Brandon King, Kyle Mayers, Nicholas Pooran (c), Shimron Hetmyer, Devon Thomas (wk), Rovman Powell, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, Hayden Walsh, Obed McCoy

India:

Rohit Sharma (c), Ishan Kishan, Rishabh Pant (wk), Sanju Samson, Deepak Hooda, Dinesh Karthik, Axar Patel, Avesh Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh

Probable best batter of the match

Nicholas Pooran:

West Indies skipper Nicholas Pooran was in decent touch during the fourth T20I encounter as he smashed 24 runs in just eight balls, but unfortunately got run out. The left-handed batter will look to score a big one during the final T20I encounter and help his side win the match to salvage some pride.

Probable best bowler of the match

Avesh Khan:

Pacer Avesh Khan was adjudged player of the match in the fourth T20I encounter for his impressive bowling performance. The right-arm pacer scalped a total of two wickets and gave away just 17 runs in his four-over quota. Avesh will want to emulate his antics during the final match as well.

The venue was shifted from the Caribbean to the United States of America but India's domination in the series hasn't changed.

It was one-way traffic yesterday at Lauderhill as the visitors pocketed the series with a game to spare, which makes today's game a dead rubber technically.

But each T20I from now is more about Mission World Cup, and both teams will continue to hope that they can polish their rough edges heading into that showpiece event.

India have a problem of plenty with a huge talent pool of match winners, and it could be a real headache for the selectors to pick the World Cup squad when the time comes.

We could see some more experiments today from Rohit Sharma's men. As for the West Indies, T20 cricket certainly is the most suited format for their power players, but they've not quite managed consistent success in recent years.
