The India vs West Indies fourth and fifth T20Is will go as per schedule after Guyana President’s intervention in making the visa arrangements for both teams. The fourth T20I will be played on August 6, Saturday in Florida and the fifth on Sunday, August 7 at the same venue. Both teams will reach Miami by Thursday for the fourth T20I which starts at 10.30 am local time on Saturday, August 6.

Cricket West Indies (CWI) President Ricky Skerritt has confirmed that the two games will be now played in Florida as per schedule. He also confirmed that players from both teams will reach Miami by Thursday. The flight time between Georgetown, Guyana, and Miami is about five hours.

The wicket at Lauderhill, Florida, is expected to produce a high-scoring game with the ball coming nicely onto the bat. Skipper winning the toss might want to have a bowl first and then look to chase the total later on. Bowlers will need to vary their line and lengths to get some wickets for their side.

The fourth IND vs WI T20I will be played on Saturday, August 6. The match starts at 8 pm IST which is 10 am local time. The temperature will be around 16 degrees in the morning with clouds like to hover around the ground. There is a 40 per cent chance of rain likely to play spoilsport.

So far, the venue in Florida has hosted 12 T20Is, with teams batting first winning 9 games and teams chasing just two. The average first innings score is around 160-170 which drops down to 120-odd in the second innings.

Players to watch:

Deepak Hooda has not set a foot wrong this year, but he still can't force his way into the first-choice XI for India when everybody is available. However, he still has time to force his way into the squad, and into the XI should one of the batters struggle in the World Cup.

Nicholas Pooran, the most established T20 batter in the West Indies line-up, struggled to score at a-run-a-ball against the cutters of Hardik Pandya and the offspin of Ashwin in the third T20I. He will have to face more of it if there is any grip in the pitch, and he will have to find a way.

Stats and trivia:

The last time West Indies beat India in any series was at the same ground in 2016 when they won the two-T20I series 1-0 with one match washed out.

Take out the series in Sri Lanka when India's third-string side was further weakened by a Covid-19 outbreak, and the last time India lost a bilateral T20I series was way back in early 2019 against Australia.
