Sidhu moosewala was shot dead just coz he wasn't carrying any weapon for safety. It seems ppl are wishing Salman dead only, then they will realize how severe that threat is.

Why would anybody wish death on a stranger? Thats horrible. I was asking about the threat coz I believe he always had threats and dealt with it using his personal bodyguards and security from the state. Ab achanak se he requested for a weapon so was wondering how big is the threat this time.

The Gangsters who had shot Sidhu Moosewala had earlier threatened Salman. It was suggested by police only to keep a weapon. Threat is severe, that's why he has taken this step.
