Varun. Although with Varun there’s a case of extreme ..either he’ll be good or he’ll be a disaster.

With KA - he tried with dhamaka and LAK 2 , but he fails in other roles than comedy .

Watches very few movies of these two

October, Soty, Badlapur, Coolie no.1, Kalank for Varun

BB2, Sonu ki Tweety, Love Aaj Kal 2 for Karthik

So far Varun trumps KA in acting and overall performance. He gave some unexpected performances in October and Badlapur and even Kalank. And it's weird that for someone who is trying to fill in the goofball, mainstream comedian void of bollywood his serious performances are the better ones.

Kartik's comedy in BB2 was way better than any comedy schtick I have seen from Varun, but he was just awful in a more serious/dramatic role in LAK2. Will be watching Dhamaka soon sometime which is apparently one of Kartik's better performances

Honestly I can't tell. Varun's limited but Kartik has his weak points

Varun has definitely shown more shades than Kartik. One hit can make audiences talk but I think gen z is intelligent enough not to get swayed away by the last friday and look at the bigger picture.

Yes, some of his films haven't worked but that cannot take away from his performance in those films. He was very good in October and Kalank.
