I refused to follow a standard rule saying by certain age is the limit. More power to all these women in Bollywood and Hollywood breaking that rule. Love Janet Jackson, Amrita Rao, Soha Ali khan, Nicki Minaj, Halle Berry, Angelina Jolie, Kareena kapoor and etc, for not following the risk factor age to have kids, go ladies show them looking fabulous 40’s and 50’s.

I spread not *my* information but research appearing in academic journals. Your implication that there is no diff in risk for older pregnancies is MISinformation. Not quite sure how people can knowingly do such things which put actual lives at risk.

Secondly, I am not telling anyone when to have kids. Hiding info from women for feminism's sake (I assume) is actually infantilizing them. Let the ladies make their own decisions with the correct information. It's not up to you or me what risk someone else decides to take on.

There is no rule. There is, however, biology. You can refuse all you want, but there is no medical procedure yet that will allow you to circumvent that particular biological fact.

Anyway, I added the link to the analysis of risk in older pregnancies. Don't think I'm going to contribute much else by going around in circles with you, OP. Have a good weekend.

Let's not forget that theses actresses have access to the world's best gynecologists, nutritionists, fitness trainers and diet. So what's working for them may not work for all women. I have read women aged 35 are at higher risk of pregnancy related complications. Of course it does not mean any woman getting pregnant after 35 will suffer severe consequences and women younger than 35 would have a smooth pregnancy. Complications can arise in any pregnancy but the risk is a bit higher for 35+ women. So instead of idolizing these celebrities it's better to consult a doctor to decide what's the best age for your body to carry a life.

yes I am not going around in circles with you too. Since I disagree with your logic. I believe anybody at any age can face health risk there is no age limit. In real life, I have coworkers, family friends and so many people I know having kids in their 40’s and 50’s naturally so no I am not going to believe someone like you scarring all women at certain age and encouraging them to have kids young only. People like you need to stay away from women’s v. Not everyone has same path in life and destiny in life. Not everyone going to face same risk in life. I know what I saw in real life and I saw way too many women at older age having healthy kids

Thanks. But this 34 year old doesn’t want any biological kids.

I know risk can be faced. For example a coworker of mine was told she will face risk and didn’t face any risk after. So what I am trying to say don’t put a broad statement like women have risk with pregnancy after 35. That statement makes it seem like all women at certain age have problems which is not true even if I go by in real life all the women I saw having kids at a later age, it’s too many of them. There was a doctor that told a young woman because of her age he don’t think she’ll face risk and guess what she faced risk and he was shocked.

I think we, as a society, overemphasize the drop in female fertility in their thirties. Personally I think it's a male-driven construct to justify their pursuit of younger women as they get older ("I'm not a dirty old man, I just really want to have my own kids now that I spent my 20s sowing my wild oats. Honest!").

What literature is there in support of women in their thirties having riskier pregnancies versus twenties is mostly outdated or poorly controlled in terms of study metrics. And there is now pretty solid literature showing that incidences of some fetal genetic abnormalities have a stronger basis in paternal rather than maternal age.

It's also important to understand that just because something is published in a scientific journal or indexed as an abstract, doesn't make it gospel truth. The level of peer review varies considerably across journals, the publishing standards across journals are not equivalent, and there are some truly bullshit indexed studies out there. Like the one linking vaccines to autism. That one was debunked. But plenty of others are still unretracted and acting as 'evidence' fodder for people who don't understand how to interpret clinical studies.

(Good grief... to think I joined this site to feed my lowbrow and endless appetite for Bolly gossip.. what!!)

For all we know these women must be freezing their eggs before 35, and we are just looking at age they deliver huh. It is a fact after 35 their is high risk and docs themselves warn the mothers and do all the tests to make sure babies arent born with any kind of disabilities

People here are feared of pregnancies in 30s but most of the Reddit users I read had their kids in mid to late 30s.

I joined this site for gossip too but I was getting annoyed with each actresses pregnancy announcement being filled with people saying she’ll face risk due to her age. So I had post this topic. Sorry I won’t again. Back to the gossip entertainment topics. Lol sorry. Thank you for posting. Loved it

Hey, now I can justify the time spent here as 'scientific discourse'! Totally get it, totally agree.

But yeah, those threads on Sushmita's sugar daddy and Ranbir's overrated looks aren't going to read themselves so let's not squander valuable gossip ogling time on such trivial issues as women's reproductive choices and outcomes😉
