I am addicted to this song for years now. What a gem! Ashaji’s voice caresses over you like the gentle morning breeze . Note how the riyaz part has no accompaniments - just the tanpura & Asha - pulling you into the vortex - the gorgeous rekha is a visual treat.👌

I used to wonder how this song never figured in any reality shows - at least I haven’t seen this being sung. I was so hoping to hear this in Aru’s voice in Idol, during Asha special or Rekha special. She is the only one who can do justice to it. Imagine Aru’s rendition with Pawan on tabla plus vocal support 👌💕. My wishlist…

ooh yess I also have a wishlist for a PD-Aru duet. I think they can do complete justice to the song Uyiril Thodum 😆 Though no idea how well they'll do with the malayalam diction.

Arunita might want to consider practicing singing in other languages since she's the popular choice for a Shreya Ghoshal replacement now 🥱 Shreya does Malayalam songs better than Malayalis themselves 🤣
