Tbh, though it is a popular composition, I used to find Mukesh very nasal in this. So, yesā¦ would love to hear an Aru-pawan rendition. I dare say I may enjoy it more than the original. š. I am addicted to this song for years now. What a gem! Ashajiās voice caresses over you like the gentle morning breeze . Note how the riyaz part has no accompaniments - just the tanpura & Asha - pulling you into the vortex - the gorgeous rekha is a visual treat.š
I used to wonder how this song never figured in any reality shows - at least I havenāt seen this being sung. I was so hoping to hear this in Aruās voice in Idol, during Asha special or Rekha special. She is the only one who can do justice to it. Imagine Aruās rendition with Pawan on tabla plus vocal support šš. My wishlistā¦

I agree only Arunita can do this. You should check out her YT channel - there are one or two pre-Idol videos of her doing riyaaz very much like this. She is just lost in her own world with her eyes closed!
But I think we are expecting a bit too much of PAwandeep - I don't know whether he can sing loke this š
