You have explained it perfectly and yes consent is extremely important. Problem here is the writing and bad execution of dialogues. Ushna clearly told Sadaf she never loved Romeo and when he came to see her at college and said I will keep you better than Shehroz, to say to him that she has never loved him and she only cared a bit would have been perfect, instead she said he had gone mad and he gave that BS of yes in her love or some crap.

She also told Shehroz that her and Romeo were never friends - maybe from her side they weren’t but again it’s writing as I didn’t get that vibes. I do agree dating is perfectly normal and in fact i would rather encourage that but given the conservative society it makes sense that angle like that will not be explored.

Romeo lives in his own world where no matter what Ushna says he wouldn’t care but rather than those really long dialogues, how about a simple not interested, was never in love, and now you back off? I do wish that idiotic writer would find another job as she has made of this show and ruined it totally for me.

I want to know what is the selection criterion to become a drama writer 🤣
