In our family everyone still calls him Shukla, Bhatia to Manoj Pahwa, Patel to Deven even after so many years. Shukla spitting paan everytime was so gross but hilarious😆.

Tbh yes. Mai sach mein bolna nahi chahta thaa leken ab tumne boldiya hai so i will tell the fact. I totally believe that Aladdin's beginning called the unofficial death of comedy channel Sab Tv. You will see uske baad se dheere dheere comedy ka silsila khatam hone laga. Things became serious because that show was big hit initially so Sab Tv thought ye drama chalega toh lets start bringing more drama genre shows jinme hum thodi thodi comedy add karke audience ko present karenge.

Tenali Rama NEVER i watched it for quite a long time and it was a very pleasing historical comedy. It became serious after that stupid 20 years leap.

Yes we watched many shows before Sony acquired it. They aired some older comedy shows too from DD channels. Yes Boss was such a urban office drama. There was 1-2 more office sitcoms then. Even before Taarak they brought some daily soaps after it became Sony Sab.

Baalveer1 bhi fantasy show tha but usme bhi thodi bahut comedy rehti thi (jitna tmkoc ke waqt promos dekhe thy usse pata hai)

But aladin bahut jada serious, dark fantasy show tha, usko 2+ trp mili toh sab tv ka poora focus drama genre pe shift hua.... Evn i think baalveer 2 bhi shayad serious drama hi tha

I thought baalveer was cringe even as a fetus
