🤗. The obsession was peak until the confession epi for me and then slowly started dwindling. But still unable to completely detach. I'm loving being here and since the epi aren't loop worthy right now, finding new ways to engage myself with the show and the forum. And since I missed the golden period as everyone calls it, this idea struck me.

I havent watched few episodes after his entry so my question is why was he soo attracted to Imlie.. wasnt he rude n stuff

Honestly, there wasn't much ambiguity really. Aryan was always supposed to be everything that Aditya wasn’t and that'show he was scripted. The only couple instances where he had un-Aryanlike scenes was when they made him splash water on Imlie and tie her up with the dupatta. I always viewed those scenes as a siren call to Gul loyalists/new Imlie viewers as if to say, Gul's male lead has finally arrived in Imlie as well – though he is incomparable to his predecessors.

Those were the exact scenes I was thinking about. And the "To ameeron ko lootne ka kaam karti ho" remark which was so un-Aryan like. These scenes made me think if initially Aryan was supposed to be a typical Gul Hero who is rude, insults the FL...you know all the drill of a typical Gul ML but then later was toned down bcoz you know he's not supposed to be adding to the woes of the FL to be rejected by the audience. But like you have mentioned, this must be just to draw audience's attention. And hell yeah, he's incomparable to his predecessors.

I'm really curious about how things were back in fd wrt to Arylie and Aryan. How everyone took a liking to this character , how he was perceived initially, when did Arylie start, reaction to first Janiya, reaction to first dance etc etc. In nutshell anything and everything related to the show, Arylie onscreen, offscreen kuch bhi.

So on suggestion of our dear friend Pooja (@param-sundari) who mentioned that a lot of active members now haven't been with the show and fd from the beginning, I decided to make this thread where we could ask throwback questions relating to the show especially Arylie and the vetarans could recount the events for us.

This is an opportunity for some of us to live those good olden days that we missed. It is open for everybody to ask and to respond.

I too started watching recently & started liking the pair ...and went back to watch the episodes where Aryan was introduced .... I must say Arylie made it through ... amazing chemistry ...

Aryan ....a journey started with mein tumhe kuch nahi hone dunga ... I just loved their equation ...

Aryan's feelings for Imlie and she trying fix her marriage with Atihya....

Arylie ... their relation back then ...

Bahut khoobsurat hotein hai

I actually read some of the old discussion threads (heights of obsession and vellaness) and it was so interesting to read the old takes and views

Like there were people who hated what is one of my favorite scenes - chopsticks wala. Like how akt was better for accepting imlie the way she was. I wanted to read about how shiddat was perceived initially... But then my eyes got tired with all the scrolling 😆

Which episode does Aryan fall in love with Imlie.

Thanks for the tag.I am also a newbie over here. to be very frank the first scene I saw of Arylie was their engagement day where Imlie was getting ready and Aryan comes to her. The moment I led eyes on this guy I was like Oh My God! I knew there was a serial name Imlie but never got a chance to watch because of work schedule. After that scene I didn't immediately go to watch the previous episodes because of my tight schedule but when I finally got time to breath I went to straight to hotstar. Because of Arylies chemistry I came out of hibernation on IF after almost 10 years and now you can see me popping now and then.

By being here I'll also know the things I never knew.

What was the reaction of the Imlie fans when Aryan made an entry?

I was tempted to do it too but bro that would be too tedious and I would have never been able to catch up😆. And there is the old fd who must have felt threatened by this new entry who is antithesis of their hero and would have bashed ASR and Arylie left right and centre🤣. Sifting through the posts is impossible.

I'm too interested in knowing how shiddat was perceived initially . Can you please make a separate post asking about that in this thread so it doesn't get lost in the convo and somebody will take it up.

You were not alone in that obsession 😆 I too read through some old thread one weekend, and my my.. I had fun reading those posts. The discussions about how Adilie was IT, no ifs & buts about ASR taking over as a lead let alone a parallel lead. ASR was brought in to make AKT jealous and eventually unite Adilie 🤣

I remember the chopsticks topic. There were posts about how dare Aryan tell Imlie that she is eating like a jaanwar or something. LOL
