I do think so. GM quitting news came around aug I guess, but he rubbised it then as rumours.

Team must be working to sort out differences and meanwhile introduced aryan . Fk's last show just ended 10 days ago when he was roped in for Imlie. I guess it was bcz ved who was writing imlie at that point was producer of FK's show. But soon aryan became such a rage and brought in a lot viewers so team would have decided to let GM go .

I got it all wrong then 😆So wasn't it after AKT 1.0 put papers and was serving notice that Aryan was introduced in the show? I assumed that GM quit and Aryan was brought in early to warm him to the audience as a potential new lead

How long is the notice period? Aryan came in nov. And GM quit in jan. I think it's something between 1-3 months If that is the case, GM must have put his papers after aryan's entry. It was a risk that both fammy and team took . Thankfully it paid off.

Yes that's what I thought so because whatever forum snooping I did back then, I got to know there was no character like Aryan in the original Bengali show

FK said this in his latest interview that it was risk taking up Imlie and understandably so. Imlie was an ongoing hit show with a stellar cast and to come in between as a parallel lead(later ML) must have been too risky

Plausible, but its ITV na, and Imlie was a show in prime channel. I think they would have put his papers on hold . Its hard to make place in audience's heart . They might be testing waters initially but as soon as aryan entered the show changed and he was accepted immediately.

So Aryan's introduction in the show had got nothing to do with the previous ML quitting. Now I really want to the know the reason why he was introduced . Surely such beautifully etched character was not a stop-gap arrangement or to reunite the original couple.

Edited: We are going around in circles with this convo.😆. So essentially it's not clear as to why he was brought in but things just fell into place so beautifully that there was no looking back

Indeed it is. Itv rarely new character opposite FL. It worked in anupama bcz vanraj was out and out black character who had EMA. . Here it was tricky bcz adi on surface level was like any other male lead.

Tbh, the more audience got to know aryan, the more they realised how.problematic adi was.

And even if aryan was written as this amazing character, if actor wouldn't have been able to do justice, it would have fell flat.

It's actually amazing what fammy and team achieved.

It's actually amazing what fammy and team achieved.

It's actually a big feat what these guys did and were able to do. It was a mix of talent and luck both. Audience(like me) who had problem with the Adilie relationship welcomed Aryan and Arylie with both arms and FK is such a class act that he carved his own space. I remember one of ASR's dialogue that"agar main apni jagah banane pe aau toh kahi bhi bana sakta hu"

And that's what FK did!!

See the situation would have become such that GM was most likely to quit . So team did their best to create character that gets immediate acceptance from.audience but they also added some engima that could tilt it in both sides. If this didn't work out, they could have made aryan a villan. But their plan was to introduce aryan as a new lead but in case he failed they would have made him villian.
