I really appreciate your point of view and I have to agree with you as I did not think from that perspective, thank you for sharing you views.

I think it is also because of the demand and like you said that some may not be able to say no. I think I stopped liking college romance in my late teens. Shahrukh one of all my favourite actor, kajol, and rani in college in KKHH in my opinion was whilst story wise made sense, looks wise apart from rani the age was showing.

That video is very good and good on the actor for embracing his looks. I have no issue with dying hair and all but changing ones look so drastically is unnatural. It’s their job and if they have no problem then whom am I to ask them not to, but from my end I don’t watch such movies.

Here Romeo is an old man, maybe mid 30’s? He looks like he is in his mid 40’s and both Ushna and Shehroz look younger. I felt bit grossed out watching Romeo turn up and college and go love love.

South has welcomed that change beautifully but I don’t get to watch much regional movies, in fact I stay away from Indian movies too but do watch if reviews are good.

I think we start liking different type of stories as we go through life. I remember loving pride and prejudice as a teenager and disliking the other jane austen novels. I found them boring. then after a few years, I re-read sense and sensibility and found it so striking. then another few years, I fell in love with persuasion. sometimes, it is just life I think. thats why I am sometimes confused why producers forget that only a small percentage of population are going to find college romances interesting. there is another family audience that may be bored and need something else. basically if they saw the financials, they would be willing to write more broadly for different age groups I think....

They both look in their mid 20’s and Romeo looks way older like in his mid 40’s. His skin is very bad - I mean he seems rich can he not go to a good dermatologist and get his pores sorted. It freaks me out to watch his large pores lol 😂

So true and I agree. I always loved persuasion and even the movie was good - had a very hot actor and I had a massive crush on him. I think nowadays even college youth don’t find it interesting. Times are a changing.

I watched one saif and Preeti’s movie set in Australia and I think they were at university or something but they never studied lol 😂 all they did was danced and had s*x 😂😂😂😂 I thought it was absurd.

Maybe a movie based on Oscar Wilde’s Potrait of Dorian Gray? That is a deep subject I think.

I also think they are scared to tackle sensitive topics. I watched one ITV show where ML was a college going boy and he fell in love with an older woman who had a late teen daughter. No one accepted it and he married someone his age. Then to conceive they married but the same old reincarnation drama.

In next janam it’s same older woman younger man but this time she is a divorcee and age gap is only 10years. I mean when Saif married Karena it was okay but Priyanka marrying Nick is frowned upon.

I personally don’t like college dramas - and that actress is right no one cries that much. It’s boring and sad and you will get nothing done, ever. Same with plotting all day I mean who has that much time on their hands?

kekeke.... I do wish we had more exploration of their romance though. they went from fighting to not fighting rather quickly. we needed more of that in between phase -- between attraction, love and confusion. these two would have done a good job!

exactly who does. only jobless people I guess? or people obsessed? at least normal people have more problems than to spend all their time plotting.

I also think it is strange that all these people want to marry their cousins. aren't people tired of family politics and their relatives? 🤷🙄

If i remember correctly Saif was a chef and working. Preity was doing higher studies and working part-time i think.
