Virat 'villain' Chavan

Is Virat 'Sai' Chavan/ Virat 'Ninad' Chavan/ Virat 'Patralekha' Chavan/ Virat 'Shruti' Chavan a villain or ML of Ghum?

In my opinion, he is the biggest villain of Ghum and in television history who was shown as hero for the longest time. Never a rootworthy character. Grey character more towards black. Other shows, the heroes either redeem or are changed but here...

A morally lose character who gives an immoral vaada to his bhabhi on her Sangeet with his brother, who listens to her screaming I love you on her wedding night with her brother and just sulks, who could support sai financially and to some extent emotionally but marries her while reminding her about his immoral vaada to bhabhi, who rebukes his wife when she objects his bhabhi's interference into their life, is welcomed at any time for best friends talk. Pyaari cheez, pyaar etc. Stands in support of bhabhi but never in support of his wife...the most zimmedar one who will make a woman his wife or mother of his child to support her...i mean how disgusting is that, the most despicable ML of all time. He may be shown as adarshwadi police officer (shame on the name of IPS officer) but comes off as a pervert three timer (May become four or five timer soon). I don't know why would they want to show and keep showing Sai to be in love with this jerk after all this, given that she is smart and logical. And yeah he is not dumb who gets manipulated but a manipulator who likes to keep his options open. Sai, as a wife nahi to Shruti sai, sai as his bachche ki maa na sahi to Patralekha sahi (I know surrogacy process etc but also a fact that he disregards sai and her wishes when it comes to Patralekha). He ain't disgusted with Patralekha and her restlessness to become his child's mother, despite sai stating the fact about their past time and again, he conveniently forgot that Patralekha was responsible for him losing his child and if he wanted the child so eagerly, why did he not protect it. He was never there and what is the urgency of having a baby right away. Sai is below 30 if we take into consideration their messed up timeline...

By God, this show and it's cringe...too much.

He’s not a grey character!! Never really was!!

Grey-shaded characters don’t stand mute in a hall full of chindi people with almost no or bland expressions. A grey-shaded character is a mixture of both good and bad traits, and does wicked stuff!! Virat was never a grey character.. actually calling him a grey-shaded character is an insult to actual grey-shaded characters of ITV 🤣

In my opinion he does cringe and silly things, not WICKED per se!!

Scolding your wife in a hall full of venom-spewing people in the name of “ghar ke bado se aise baat baat nahi karte” is not a grey-shaded quality!! And this is what he has done since inception... typical bhabhi bhakt indian husband of a joint family can never be a grey shaded character!!

But but but…. I loved his response when Sai nicely pointed out that she doesn’t want to Patralekha to be the surrogate because she was once in LOVE with him.

The man answers: But *I* am not in love with her.

I really wish there was some character on the show that could give him a proper verbal thrashing for his behavior. He needs to wanna die of guilt and suffer from guilt lifelong and spend his whole life trying to make up to Sai for his pathetic behavior or he should lose Sai forever and live with that knowledge that he drove away an amazing woman who was perhaps his soulmate but he didn't value her.

He has gone uncalled for way too much- being the one to make stupid vaadas to his brothers to be wife, for being extra friendly with his vahini and not even maintaining a formal relationship in the way he addresses her, for telling the woman he's marrying not to have expectations and never explicitly clarifying his stance, for everything he put Sai through with pp and Shruti and never apologizing and for repeatedly getting manipulated by pp despite knowing exactly how despicable she is and going to the extent of such insensitive behavior towards his wife whom he claims to love more than anyone.

This can only happen in FFs. Show mein toh he goes scot free.

They should not try to change Sai s character also . Now she is very likeable.

Yes they stopped making him apologize to her, and even for his mistakes she s made to apologise to him.

After his anger issues after Shruti, he apologized to his family but he never did that to her.

Patralekha ( leave aside his old affair .. which according to him is over from both sides ) even if she was never in love with him .. she is childless and has lost her spouse .. to make her go through child birth and then give the baby to another couple.

Who will live in the same house as her .. but call other people parents is cruel .. ( yes P is actively wanting it . .. and she’s negative. ) but Virat should have anticipated that .. given the past history of both of them .., and also if they had superb relations.. still getting his sister in law to do this is a stupid idea .. and should have clearly told Kaku and Mansi

Do we expect pakhi to give up the kid totally .. let it be called Kaku .. and then see it grow infront of her eyes and have no claim on it ..

if he had told pakhi .. go get a job .. do something on your own .. build a life .. he would have been a better friend and and a better man to pakhi ..

The doctor has told Sai has been under tremendous stress which has destroyed her fertility.. has he even looked how to reduce it .. today it is fertility.. after a few days stress can lead to sudden cardiac arrest ( highly common ) ..

instead of looking into all this he is wallowing in his dukh dard peeda.. and pakhi ka maqsad and increasing Sai’s stress even more

Now he is beyond redemption..... no sane person will behaves like the way virat behaved with sai....all the time he had taken her granted...i think once usha mausi had a dialogue, if anything vl gets easily wont value that. The same thing happened here. He may loves sai, but he never values her...i hated virat more than kaku and pakhi.

What is this jeevan ka maksad?

For her case jeevan ka maksad should be to find a job, get married and move on. Any sane person would wish that for his bhabhi or friend. Noone entangles their friend in further mess by becoming surrogate even though she herself ask for it for selfish motives.

He should explain the same to his kaku and P s mother strongly.

What is his objective in life don't know. Does he want to take care of her also lifelong that he s dragging her into this new responsibility? And be obliged to her lifelong. They don't show progression n Any character. Like Devi becoming all right. Kaku never takes Devi to doctor, but takes both bahus for checkup.

He is an IPS officer, he needs to have a progressive mind.

Ideally they should have showed Pakhi pregnant with Sam s child and virat helping her.

And Sai also pregnant at the same time.

Then later P feeling her child needs more rights etc.

This scenario with Sam s child s more good reason for Pakhi to stay lifelong in CN or not getting married for the sake of Sam s child.

They were in a hurry to kill Sam and destroyed the story.

Like BK had her own child and stayed n CN and her BIL s helped her.
