btw as a northie, i love idli dosas also. Just cant eat it every day though.... just because it would be too heavy. Ditto with mutton if it's well made.

ps- i notice sambar tastes differently depending where one eats. Wonder if thats regional differences dwn south. Saravna bhawan is great imo.

Where in London is this haandi restaurant???

Recommend me some more restaurants too. Lets exchange some names😆

haandi is across from Harrod's.

benares in mayfair

- the two above are not exactly cheap :)

then there's a north west frontier restaurant across wembley stadium (dont remember the name but its hard to miss imo)- i would go there for just the weekend buffet before/ after football when in town. It's a bit of a dive but has food tastes good

there are others too but i liked the ones above more. Dont much care for the bangladeshi ones palming themselves off as Indian.

and if youre looking for non-Indian, there's are 4 or 5.... mostly in mayfair that i like. Excellent food.

I checked out the menu of both Haandi and Benares and Benares has my mind blown. Not surprised that it's a Michelin star. I've never seen a menu like that before.

Macchi Ceviche Chaat

Lucknowi Style Scottish Lobster Yakhni Pulao

Meen Dakshini

😲 I'm so totally sold!

I wanna go to the Shard too next time I'm there... not sure what the food's like but I'm sure the view is hard to beat.
