I don't know about DP's case but my heart rate increases quite often post covid. Also panic attack can be reason for fast heart rate . Few of my colleagues with depression often suffers from panic attack.

My pulse rate was constantly 120 for over 3-4 months... I started drafting my will n all, but doc said it'll get to normal... It happens...

I use to get very high heart pulse and palpitations that I could actually hear my heart beating, never went to a doctor. This will go away and even athletes get these high pulse rate.
