Just finished watching first epi on viki, and i must say this came as real surprise package. From promos and posters i thought this is just another romcom with lil bit fantasy but i was wrong. This show is not plain fantasy romcom but it have mystery and thrill element attached to it.
Plot : Story starts with FL's mother telling story of her lineage to FL (who is child). From so many generation FL maternal lineage is carrying great boon, from which they can see future of person who touches their hand bare handedly.
During japanese colonial era some men raped FL's mother at that time one gentleman saved her mother from those men and she promised him that she will change his future forever. After seeing her special ability he trapped FL seul bi's mother into hotel secret place. FL is also born into same place, i think she is child of that rapist who raped FL's mother. From her birth to till now (she is almost 20+yr old) she and her mother both are trapped into same secret place inside hotel.
Now that man who saved FL's mother become chairman (dont knw kiska) and trapped both mother and FL into hotel.
Now scene directly shifted to chairman's son who was partying in same hotel with his friend and ML is one of the friend of him. He is poor but he is loyal friend and chairman's son also consider him great friend. Mistakenly he open's door of that secret place and FL escapes from hotel and starts chasing ML Soo kwan. Later she meets his mother and i think there is some connection betn his mother and seulbi's mother as when she sees locket around seul bi's neck she gets surprised and reminded of seulbi's mother.
Later ML takes her to amusement park where they enjoys sometime. At that time he starts every game as FL gives him great luck. Laters he takes her back to hotel.
Here in hotel chairman was already enraged by seeing seul bi escaped from hotel. When he sees she is holding hand of Soo kwang he slaps him nd sends him to jail and files fake charges on him.
Later chairman takes his son into secret place for first tym and introduces FL and her mother and tell him that they are shamans who can see future. And later told him that this girl seul bi will bring great luck to you, but never let her look at another person. Chairman's son is actually good person and he doesnt want any of these.
Here chairman's one man freed ML from jail and just when ML meets his mother someone tries to kill him with truck accident but in nick of time his mother pushes him nd she gets killed of in accident.
After his mother's funeral ML starts throwing her ashes into river from boat but at same time someone knocks him off and throws him into river. Later some fisherman saves him and gives identity of his dead son who just used to look like him.
Show takes leap of 2yrs. Now ML with new identiy is working in fishmarket but he have very bad reputation. Ppl says he brings bad luck to them for next 3days if he touches them.
Whereas another side FL starts predicting future for chairman's min joo, now he is also succesful thanks to her but he promises her that he will treat her as he is different from his father. She tells him that she wants to go into outside world just for once. He takes her to hotel for lunch where she sees Soo kwang who is alive. And she gets happy.
Upon returning to her place she tells her mother that now she want to go outside and live with soo kwang. Later mother and daughter makes plan and sonehow she succeeds by escaping place and directly reaches to fishmarket where ML works.
At first FL was really childlike, she was behaving like xiao qui from my girlfriend is an alien. At a first when she secretly escapes from secret place at that time she really didnt know anything about outside world and was behaving like child. Later when chairman murders him she become serious.
FL did really great job in portraying this mysterious child like character named seul bi
Cinematigraphy and everything was great. I just totally loved the first epi.
