Even Juhi was a far better performer, but Divya was ironically offered these films first (Darr, Kartavya, Radha Ka Sangam).

We have to bear in mind, she was just 19 years old and had 2-3 years experience of acting. If we compare the likes of Raveena, Urmila, Manisha, Karisma then they were kind've on par with each other, maybe Divya had a slight edge over them, she certainly had a spark. But Kajol and Tabu were better performers at the same stage in their careers.

She could have improved leaps and bounds... but alas overall I think her acting was nothing to rave about.

If one sees earlier movies of karisma sridevi and Madhuri D they too were young naive and worked hard to get on top as one progresses in life the work experience teaches a lot

Sadly DB did not live to work and reach at that level of other actresses

Ya not extraordinary actress but she is not bad , she is ok .

Well.. isn't it the case with everyone who ...! When they were alive, those who left no stoned unturned to drag them, suddenly were the biggest fans & supporter of the same people. In her case, it was very unfortunate but then suddenly she was this great actress.

I think she was a pretty average actress but a very gorgeous looking woman.
