Sunaina, don’t you think the author of Hidden Hues of Henna is damn talented?! It's fascinating how she managed to give Vedant an emotional (human?) side to his crazy retribution. Is Vedant a total psychopath? Yes. But the fact that there's more: Blaming Raghav for his strained relationships with his parents was clever. I was already loving how menacing she made Vedant [a downright maniac] but I thought this underlying factor quite refreshing. The best part of her story is obviously Raghvi & the way she is developing them. The latent blooming feelings, tension & use of monologues are all sublime. Oh before I forget, I love how Raghav is actually dangerous. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.
Before I keep on gushing about it, it's also interesting how she made the initial chapters very similar to the show, (do you think it was to set the tone?) before diverging for the better.

Absolutely true words you wrote about the author. She is indeed talented. Many times I have found that fanfiction writers especially mhrw ones have More sympathy for pallavi and they write accordingly to that or make raghav too soft by ignoring his beast side or ignore his own emotional turmoils but this author is doing fabulous job in giving equal attention to both characters and the best thing is she hasn't made pallavi some saint either. Just like initial episodes of mhrw pallavi too here is lying to her family and indulging in fraudulent practices in her account book.
Guilty pleasures is my absolute favourite one but that is from an alternative universe (which is more suitable for Netflix adaptation ☺️) but this book is what real mhrw was or could have been.
Yeah I also liked Vedant pinning for his parents but that was his own making and him blaming it on Raghav was totally human nature. But again he was a total pyscho and please don't judge me but I liked how he invoked raghav rage by mentioning how he would have liked having pallavi body and raghav thrashing him like wild animal. If this is not love then I don't know what it is
Ved threat that he will come for second round is even more dangerous and making me extremely curious and excited about future chapters 🤭 but i guess it will be long wait most probably after they have gotten married
And in last paragraph pallavi was total cutie pie . She thought that by covering herself from head to toe she would hide from scrutinising eyes of Raghav 🤣🤣
PS: I totally melted at that "I am her family" line 😍 and is totally expecting that press might scandalise their relationship if they get to know it through police officers who were at the warehouse
