Too early to call him a "superstar", but he is definitely a big star in the making, and its really gonna depend on the performance of his next few films.

Otherwise, his public image is clean and controversy-free. And being a popular "outsider", he will get support from the audience if he chooses good scripts and tries to maintain his credibility.

His earlier films could be labelled "misogynistic", but those films did throw some light on 'reverse sexism' that exists in our modern society today.

One more thing, being a superstar doesn't mean the audience would never reject your film. It has happened to every superstar in the industry (Aamir, Madhuri, SRK, Hrithik etc).
