Chap 14

In the office the following day, Imlie made sure once her reports were done she will visit Aryan in his cabin. He came early today, she noticed still tensiom lingering on his face. Around afternoon time, she went into cabin. “Imlie i dont have energy to fight today” he said

“Why you think am here to fight?” She frowned

“Nevermind” she added.

“I will talk and you will listen” she sat down not caring he invites or not to sit.

“I dont want you to leave , i feel for you knowing you are a jerk. I feel its going too fast but it is what it is. Please don’t go “ She pleaded very mournfully rather.

“Imlie i told you that was just a mistake the kiss. Sorry if i lead you on and sorry for the date too. I never dated and so i just wanted to experiment. There can be never between us” He said with straight face and no emotion. Imlie stared at him not wanting to believe about his feelings.

She got up, and went behind his chair and bent towards him , she touched her cheeks to his and rubbed it slowly , “Doesnt your heart beat fast when am near to you?? “ she whispered. She slid her hand slowly under his shirt which grabbed but she stayed put “Doesnt my touch make you shiver?” She asked boldly. Aryan was stunned at her boldness , he was trying best to control right now, he wanted to take her right now on this desk. But he is a gentleman , he cannot do this to her. “Imlie please leave” with his clenched jaw. He took her hand removing from his shirt. “Dont touch me again , you have no idea how i have controlled . Leave” he said little loudly and cruelly.

Imlie heart broke and she left. In evening her anger got to her again with pain coming back up. This time not even Ishaan was there, she yelped and cried in pain. She felt her blade burning, she removed her shirt and ran to the mirror. She turned , her skin was seares and small black wing bloomed. She gasped trying to reach it, to feel if its real. Then another excruciating pain popped again on other side with same winglike searing through the skin. Her tears wouldnt stop, she doesnt know what was happening to her. It grew a little bigger just a size of an apple. She took a picture from her phone zooming the capture. She was in for shock, it had the most intricate design inside the wing, some language she couldnt comprehand. There were floral design with vines surrounded bu foreign language. She stood there looking at herself for half hour, not sure what she just seen is believable. Wings? What is she? Are her parents hiding? Thats must be it.. they definitely know something how can i suddenly be something other than human? She video called her mother impatiently she waited until her mother finally picked up.

“Mom what am i? “ she asked tears rolling down her eyes

Her mother face scrunched and then her eyes went wide “What you mean?“ she asked

“Your expression tell me you were expecting something mom! WHAT AM I!!!” She asked

“Baby please calm down”

“NO I WONT MOM! I been going through this horrible pain and today i see wings on my back!!! “ she yelled at her mother for first time in my life.

After some pause, she revealed , “You are adopted “ her mom started crying and Imlie gasped at the truth

What she told me about it. When you were born, you had no fae like features but your mother said sometimes they are late bloomers and one day she will. Your mother had elemantal ability as well, she could create lightnings. Fae are mystical creature resembling fairies.

But you are not a fairy , you are a FAE.But fae are mischievous, they can be dark and malevolent. But your mother and others like her were not harmful or malevolent, she was mischeivous although. She would fight for her friends and always stood for rights thing Beta. I am sorry i thought you have your dad human genes. “Her mother wept.

Imlie just listened , overwhelmed with information. “We love you as our own, we never had a child because we never want you to feel any less loved. Please forgive us am sorry” Her mom cried . “Mom i am hanging up . I need time” she cut the call, she felt bad but right now her head space wasnt right. She just sat there, she removed her shirt again touching her wings. She wants it to back in, how does she do it? She closed her eyes and imagines pushing the wings back under the skin but it didnt work. She tried again with more clear mind and viola she felt a pinch and when she opened her eyes, her back was as normal as before. She sighed , wore her shirt and went to only place she could think of.

She climbed the window of his aparment, luckily his window was open. She steppes in behind the curtain. She saw him pacing up and down outside the room, he suddenly snappes his head towards the window.
