Hahahahahaha its ok, I know all about that insta caption and the raging fan wars right now. It triggered me enough that I ended up replying to the post 😆 I've never interacted with fan pages but I couldn't help it this time. Wrote the same logic - its not even about regressive or progressive (woh toh jaisi jiski soch), but its that these people are committed elsewhere. I saw some pro-couple fan pages bring up Karishma-Rajvir shippers as an excuse and that was the stupidest thing ever. Just because some fans used to hype an extramarital affair, now everyone should?
I know they're demanding so hard that makers don't add male entries for a love story - their sole reason? not for the storyline, not for HM's heartbreak, nope. Only because then Kareena moments will reduce and they won't have enough scenes to create romantic VMs.
But again, where's the romance? Every look and smile is just normal adoration/respect/agreement, but then someone makes an edit or VM with beautiful romantic songs, and poof, people get brainwashed into romanticizing it all. Not gonna lie, I fall for it and gush over it too. But I know I never saw them like that in the episode, things only appeared romantic in the VM. So its not really there in the show or BTS segments, yet some fans are portraying Kareena/YuKi as a couple from their own imagination. Another fans sees that, believes it and makes his/her own edit on them as a couple, and voila! we have a snowball effect. I'm a hopeless romantic at heart and I still can't ever imagine YuKi/Kareena as a couple, romance doesn't work that way you toxic fans.
I love YuKi as friends, and they have some unique soul connection, 'you see hum dono Taurus hai 😆'.
But I see Kareena's bond as very pure, almost devotional. We talked about Ram-Laksham, Krishna-Arjun, Guru-shishya - that's the kind of love I saw, the unconditional worship from Karishma and the ever-forgiving guiding light of Haseena. And that's the relation, the connection, the first thing that truly made me fall in love with this show. So even mention of them as a couple makes me super uncomfortable, feels like the purity that I see in their bond is getting tarnished and insulted.
