Shiva-Raavi OS: Fierce

I know this Shiva seems a little different, but this is the Shiva I understood from the show. While initially he was shown to be both street smart and hotheaded, in the haveli episodes, we saw a more mischievous and slightly more devious side to him, especially during the Kesar Kaand where he manipulated situations to suit him. And as the episodes progressed, he was also shown to be selfish, and someone with slightly questionable morals.

I think Shiva is a grey character, and I hope I’ve done his role justice.

Disclaimer (maybe a little presumptuous, but still putting it out there) –

I know this particular fic ends on an anticipatory note, and while I do have some ideas about a sequel for it, they are still in their infancy stage. So no promises.

This one is majorly for Ritu and Pallavi, who have been patiently waiting for me to finish this piece since March. And of course, the rest of the #SaabitKarShivaSaysRaavi gang. Though I kind of realised while writing that I liked it better without Raavi saying, “Saabit kar, Shiva!”

And a big hug to Sathya, who patiently proofread it all.

Oh My Worlddddd!!!

Oh how this was worth every day I've waited since I read the first sneak months ago. Though I didn't know the context or anything and I've only had a little taste of the portion where Raavi flinches but I have been hooked to this ever since then. God knows you've made me wait for it.😆

To be honest the start intrigued me, made me want to open up the can of worms too fast too soon. WHY - is he being loathed by everyone? WHAT - did he actually do to achieve this hate? and HOW - did Raavi chose not to put her MS and Sindoor after fighting night and day for it?! The preset was terrific, it made me curious just as it should have and kept the show running.

As I kept reading my heart went all awry, up-down, side-to-side because the suspense was revealed, steadily at that. Shiva actually trying (and succeeding) to kidnap Raavi to marry her off to someone else was the ultimate breakdown we'd all been waiting for back in the day. I had very mixed feelings about it not taking place, happy-because they didn't stoop Shiva lower and sad-because we didn't get a venting out.

The holi scene was very well written. I felt it all, after SO LONG, the haq and intensity. EVERYONE knows how I long for these two things in a fic. I'm surprised Shiva didn't kill the guy lol.

Their confrontation or if I am allowed a little leeway here I'd call it Raavi's Outburst for the very sake of how is panned out. She was fierce, bold and above all truthful for the first time in years. Raavi as a character had been wronged too many times and all she does is forgive and forget. I've been very public about how I wrong I feel Raavi was in the Jabariya-Shaadi scheme that Bhabhi bought, simply because she agreed to scam the man she loved. I might have been the handful of people who called her out on it, so seeing her change her perspective always made me sigh in relief. Here happened the same. She said all the right things and all the right words for it. LOVED HOW YOU PUT IN A TAD BIT OF JELLY AAG BOI SHIVA when she was berating him for the pappi.

The highlight for me would totally be Suman Mummy deciding to go to Teerth Yatra lmao. Isse Acha kya hoyega??!!🤣

This is sooo soo sweet, I don't know how to appreciate this enough.

This is the Shiva I love, jealous for his girl, can't withstand her ignorance and ready to fight the whole damn world for his precious wife.

Raavi, my heart goes out for the girl, I'm so happy for the way you explained her feelings, how she knows if she lets out her pain, she'll forgive everything. There are so many beautiful things in this os, the way Raavi expressed all her dissatisfaction in the relationship, all the feelings that had bottled up in her heart and the way Shiva understood all the pain beneath the anger.

Shiva assuring her was the undoubtedly the best part, but but but the cute essence of Shiva - Raavi that you put between that has whole my heart, it made me laugh between the sobs and it's so Shivi, the pout queen Raavi and the ever so cute Shiva

As much as I loved the Shivi conversation, I also liked the cute family reaction, because this was the PS dynamics we all hoped for.
