Most people voted for Shahid Kapoor having no stardom but nobody explained why even by his standards the opening was so low.

And now Tiger or Ajay couldn't give much better opening for their movies either. Clearly here the issue was bigger than Shahid not having any star power.

When you have original available free of cost,why to go for duplicate! The original Jersey, Hindi dubbed version is on YouTube. And believe me the actor is far better than Shahid Kapoor. How long you gonna fool the audience with remakes and original movies with absurd or no storylines? How long fake calculator is going to save you? Bollywood should come with some solid, original ideas. Or else it's doomed

and I do not watch remakes in the cinema maybe Indian audiences watched the original as they had to wait so long lol

I have watched Nani's Jersey and I did like the film alot. I haven't watched the remake yet but I was planning to watch it in theaters because it is a really good and emotional story. But many reviews said the remake is alot inferior than the original, so I dropped that plan and decided to wait for OTT release.

I think comparison with the original also destroyed the movie. Alot of North Indian audience got to know about Arjun Reddy after watching Kabir Singh. But they knew about Telugu film Jersey before release of the Hindi remake. Partly because Hindi dub was available on YouTube and also because after the success of Kabir Singh people had curiosity to know what Shahid is going to do next.

ot of people watch Hindi dubbed movies on YouTube. I think Arjun Reddy wasn't available on YouTube at the time of Kabir Singh release. So people watched that one.

And Shahid Kapoor has no BO pull. No charisma or star power to pull audience. No one really waits for his movies. It's the South movies remakes which saved him.

Didn't watch the remake Jersey as Shahid Kapoor gave Kabir Singh vibes, and I absolutely loathed that movie.

Ppl may liked d original Telugu one jersey .

Jersey the original dubbed version was seen by many during the last 2 years.

Plus the budget of the film is quite low maybe except Shahid remuneration.

KGF mammoth, bad release.

They should have released on ott directly.

Plus it gave Shahid critical acclaim and producers no loss as they will make money through ott and other aspects.

Theatres and distributers are the one who lost money

Movie is boring and Shahid's star power is less.
