I don’t know if it’s only me but the whole mehendi function (I mean the happy part of the sequence) seemed rushed. Dont know how it explain it but let’s just compare mehendi sequence with tilak 3 sequence. In tilak 3, Abhira had a lengthy prelook scene with shayari, then stitching romance followed by harsh drama, then the amazing dance sequence, then the actual ceremony and finally the photo session with surprise kiss. In mehendi, it all started with drama and then chinnu scene of abhi applying mehendi to akshu and all the meaningful scenes of Abhira were merged in between the dance sequence. It was all “jaldi jaldi”. 😔😒
As a viewer, I signed up for abhira’s love story. I would have loved if there was something more to “abhi applying mehendi” scene, like maybe them saying sorry to each other for last mehendi fight (no heavy dialogues but just actions like how abhi apologized to ak during tilak 3).
Even the whole part when abhi drew the mehendi design for ak could have been a separate scene altogether rather than jamming it in with the song . Maybe they could have shown flashbacks to all those memories and ak getting teary eyed and abhi catching her tear.. something like that.. something very personal to them.
All these small small details can turn a good scene to a great scene as it touches the heart. It makes the audience connect more to what the leads are feeling and helps in forming an emotional bond to the lead couple.
But it just seems like they were in a rush to wrap it all up before heading to Jaipur. So many missed opportunities! 🤦♀️ Hopefully, the whole Jaipur track makes up for all these lost moments. 🤞
