I think Aryan's stance in this comes from the fact that Arpita and Narmada have been seen ganging up on him and pressuring him to marry quite a few times in the show. It is the 'haq' and the relationship that gives him the 'right' to ask her and in some way push her in a certain direction.

my problem mainly is with Imlie trying to push Arpita and Sundar together 🤢
