More than useless I think Kairav has been a little biased towards Arohi.. since the beginning Kairav knew a lot of things, like Abhira pics (after which he asked akshu to leave) then akshu ka stance during ruby track. It was clear to him that even akshu loved abhi but he didn't help the couple and stayed silent.

So I don't know what inference should be made about Kairav

Her character development is slow, but it's most definitely there! Abhi stole the episode today and was on fire, but I am so thankful to the writers for finally showing her traumas and highlighting why she is the way she is!! It was much needed.
