Yes, I agree. Taqi and family had no self respect. I'm also confused as to why Dua who had been waiting for so long for Mustajab, sees he's returned and accepts Taqis proposal at the end and looked quite OK, not upset as I thought she would be. That part was too rushed.

the concept isn’t that only a believer is worthy of love but the concept is selfless love can fetch you happiness, Mustajab didn’t get happy ending because he became a believer but because his belief restored himself into a selfless lover, he has the courage to keep his word and not let the worldly desires break him and his devotion. It’s all about faith, he restored his faith and learnt to consider himself a flawed human, his ego’s defeat and his discovering his self worth is what the concept was. The story was more about a common man’s journey to discover himself rather than finding his lady love.

her accepting the proposal was merely her flaw as a weak and defeated human being in love, she saw her man nearby not giving her attention, she assumed he didn’t need her anymore. The decision was rushed but obviously Dua didn’t care much to e em give Taqi a thought, she looked okay but she wasn’t okay, I think her silence and blatant desire to meet Mustajab before her marriage was an indication that she was just relying on her God’s will, she definitely had no other choice, yes she could have continued not saying yes to Taqi but obviously she got triggered knowing that Mustajab was in Pakistan and didn’t even look at her, Dua was not in her right state of mine, I’m sure.
