Hasn't CBFC become lenient overtime in matter of film certification than it was in 90s like in 90s less disturbing scenes movies compared to movies of today like baazi, sarfarosh, diljale, dilwale, kartavya, arjun pandit etc got A certificate but today's movies with equally disturbing even more than that scenes movies like ik villian, marjavaan, tadap, gangubai kathiawadi gets U/A makes me think if the 90s movies I have mentioned above released now gets U/A, WHY CBFC BECOMES so lenient??????

Raj bhai tv ki baare mein toh acche khaasi knowledge hai tumhe thoda film ke baare mein bhi share kardo, shrijan, harsha, neon plz batao

Look 90's leke 2020 me hum bahut evolve huye hai and modern huye hai toh aaj ki date ko consider karke woh certificate denge naa

90's me agr koi (normal ppl) bikini ya thoda modern kapde pahne toh kaisa react karta tha?? And aaj kaise react karte hai ussi se andaza lagao tum

Sensibilities- like now women character can get into bikini. I will take who example- shut up and bounce song from dostana with camera shooting at Shilpa dressed in bikini and John's low shorts. And then there was soty 1, alia wore a bikini which had same camera angles but she was also casually sitting beside her school friends wearing a bikini. Then gali galoch - casual use of them through web shows and movies. South movies are more graphic of you think of torture, blood, fighting. Gajni was atlst 10 yes ago i think? It had am implied scene where girl gets hit by a hammer.

Now a days, if a male character is being creepy towards female, audience gets uncomfortable. You remember wanted movie Salman wala? Mahesh manjrekar being creepy towards the lady and it was so uncomfortable to watch. The bolly movies atlst cut down the stalking creepy things. Even recently pushpa had same creepy romance and audience spoke out against it.

South movies is still good in film certification according to me, as a little disturbing blood shed A is given

Wanted got an A certificate so if there is uncomfortable scenes and now audience are more local should given A, because some stories r still unsuitable for kids

Times changed agreed and understood as nowadays nobody like to watch family films which 90s audience were

I think you must have watched on Zee Cinema, B4U Movies or some other third grade channels which edited many things🤣.

Anjaam may have got A certificate because:

1. SRK was very toxic character who stalked Madhuri, killed her husband and even beat her violently before framing her for trying to kill him.

2. The female prison jailer in one scene beat Madhuri so badly on her belly for a long time that she bled from below which meant her unborn baby died. Yes these scenes were shown in the movie but nowadays they edit many scenes for TV channels.

3. SRK did accident of Madhuri's 3-4 years old daughter and her sister which killed them.

4. Madhuri in one scene bites her greedy and evil Jija's hand so hard that some flesh comes out in her teeth. But now they edit the biting part on TV telecast.

Ab tu hi bata Rosie jis movie me 2 bacchon ko buri tarah maarte huve dikhaayenge aur ek pregnant mahila ko buri tarah peetenge use A certificate nahi to kya milega? Aaj ke taarikh me bhi ise A certificate hi milta tha. Tune surely TV pe highly edited version dekha hai.

Rosie, abhi ke waqt me people don't want to raise kids in too sensitive way when it comes to TV. Thoda bahot exposure time to time hona chaahiye. Gangubai I saw few days back in Pikashow. It had no adult scene and dialogues too were not much vulgar. This was based on a real life woman and I guess the makers already altered several things as there was not a single scene which required A certificate. Hum sabne aise violent movies bachpan me dekhe hai aur kuch negative effect nahi hua humpe. Abhi ke bacche to in fact aur jyaada smart hai. So only on foul languages and sexual scenes they feel need to give A certificate. As I already said few times tab login me jyaada jaagrukta nahi thi ki kaunsi cheez kya aur kitna dekhna chaahiye due to TV being a new thing and theatre too visited by only few people and also no internet at that time.

Things whose messages kids do not have the ability to conceptualize does have way too harmful impact on kids is proven as in media, things like sex is not shown as a way for healthy intimacy but an unrealistic fantasy that can impact children negatively but aaj kal atleast pre teens nd teens ko tum mana karo na karo they would watch what they wanna watch

Tbh India does not make like really really sexual content or else except in webseries but why give a 12 year old Netflix subscription to watch that

Movies like gangubai m atleast older teens have the ability to conceptualize things in the right way though not younger kids nd uss movie m zyada kuchh h bhi nhi jitna panic macha rakha h logo ne, there's no nudity but a story of trauma that traces the life of a teenage girl

Nd movies do not have the responsibility of raising your kids, It's yours responsibility to take care of what they see

I dont like it when rappers nd all k gaano m people say this is corrupting the youth like that's obviously not meant for children you should take care of that not web series or other adult things

If your 10 year old watches netflix then be a goddamn parent nd talk to them or look after what they watch instead of blaming the artists for your garbage parenting

To film certificate se family ko pata chalta ki kaunsa movie bacchon ke saath jaaye. Imagine a family goes to watch some violent XYZ movie with kids and all of a sudden such a scene comes. Then the kids will be scared. Those times people loved only romantic and family movies. Do you know Andaaz Apna Apna which was a clean comedy was a flop. Why? Because people loved only romantic and family movies then. Now only in extreme cases they give A certificate to movies. Pehle ek lip to lip kiss aur love scene hints me dikhaate the aur jisme ye cheez properly dikhaate the use A certificate milta tha par ab sirf extreme cases me A certificate milta hai. In Hindi Ghajini they did cut or toned 2-3 scenes which I read in paper but was shown in original movie. Bollywood chhodo. South movies ko jab Hindi dub karke TV pe dikhaate hai to usme bahot scenes cut karte hai. It is much more violent than Bollywood. In Arundhati, there was a scene of pandits breaking 13-14 coconuts on heroine head as part of some sacrifice ritual which she only agreed to par Hindi channels me dub karne ke baad ek bhi nariyal fodte huve nahi dikhaate hai. So Bollywood still cuts several scenes aur agar cut karne ko ready na ho makers they pass it with A certificate.

Agreed for example when prem ratan dhan payo released kuch khaas nahi kar payi agar 90s main release hoti toh baat kuch aur hoti, though its common now a film with single kiss or sex scene gets U for eg band baaja baarat

@bold this point I don't agree with you completely in 1973 film 'aa gale lag jaa' there was a sex scene still it got U even though 70s were more regressive than 90s also in 90s films kiss started becoming common still it was getting U, also 1991 film saugandh there was a bold scene and still it got U

Every certification is important A certificate becoming rare is not so good, too much blood shed is not good agreed but for U/A certificate altering story affecting content also not good

I agreed ki aaj kal ki bache smart ho gaye hai blood shedding scenes dekh sakte hai yeh doubt mera clear ho gaya, even though gangubai mein koi adult scene type nahi hoga par phir bhi brothel life kids ko dekhana too much hoga CBFC ko sex, foul language aur blood shed ki basis pe nahi story ki basis par bhi karna chahiye same with marjaavaan hero being criminal killing heroine and it also had blood shed clearly visible in trailer still got U/A yrh 90s nahi hai toh kya hua kahani bhi suitable honi chahiye don't think any kids would love marjaavaan as kids love happy ending with less blood shed
