Well talking aboat Marjaavaan, its very similar to dilwale and diljale though stories r different, earlier films in which heroes r tortured excess in jail always got A certificate, the torture in jail killing tara sutaria in film and sad ending with so much fight it got U/A it suprised me atleast dilwale(1993) had happy ending still it got A

dilwale was in 90s. What was shocking then isn't shocking now.

Sensibilities- like now women character can get into bikini. I will take who example- shut up and bounce song from dostana with camera shooting at Shilpa dressed in bikini and John's low shorts. And then there was soty 1, alia wore a bikini which had same camera angles but she was also casually sitting beside her school friends wearing a bikini. Then gali galoch - casual use of them through web shows and movies. South movies are more graphic of you think of torture, blood, fighting. Gajni was atlst 10 yes ago i think? It had am implied scene where girl gets hit by a hammer.

Now a days, if a male character is being creepy towards female, audience gets uncomfortable. You remember wanted movie Salman wala? Mahesh manjrekar being creepy towards the lady and it was so uncomfortable to watch. The bolly movies atlst cut down the stalking creepy things. Even recently pushpa had same creepy romance and audience spoke out against it.

It's like kids these days hate on everything which was old and try to make their own version, which are bad. New cindrella- lmao as if they found no actor to do their shitty movie so took a singer who can't act. Completely changed the movie and it's theme and put songs every 1 mins. You know which cindrella movies were good? The OGs one. Nothing was amiss in them - a girl going out to have a fun night, getting help from fairy god mother, then there was sequels where Prince turned out awesome too. Even live action movies were great. My personal fav is Selena Gomez wala, based on dancing and it was good too. If you want to remake that, why change the core of story? Disney is shit ass company who change everything and make bad movies, like will Smith as Ginnie - aak thoo. And that comedian who's acting like gay caricature and he's the god mother. Who writes these shit?

They did that movie just for twitter activists

I mean sure change cut out the problematic stuff of an original tale but why change the actual point

Cinderella was supposed to be the story of a girl nourished to act like that from childhood who then slowly discovers what it means to be free

Usko unhone puri tarah change kar diya

Nd opposed to this malificient m unhone (I don't know that's an actual disney tale or not, I think it isn't) wo prince kissing sleeping girl wala scene rakha like actual sexual harassment

As I said those times TV was only limited to few people aur theatre bhi har koi nahi jaata tha. Tab internet bhi nahi thi already sab kuch jaanne ke liye. To film certificate se family ko pata chalta ki kaunsa movie bacchon ke saath jaaye. Imagine a family goes to watch some violent XYZ movie with kids and all of a sudden such a scene comes. Then the kids will be scared. Those times people loved only romantic and family movies. Do you know Andaaz Apna Apna which was a clean comedy was a flop. Why? Because people loved only romantic and family movies then. Now only in extreme cases they give A certificate to movies. Pehle ek lip to lip kiss aur love scene hints me dikhaate the aur jisme ye cheez properly dikhaate the use A certificate milta tha par ab sirf extreme cases me A certificate milta hai. In Hindi Ghajini they did cut or toned 2-3 scenes which I read in paper but was shown in original movie. Bollywood chhodo. South movies ko jab Hindi dub karke TV pe dikhaate hai to usme bahot scenes cut karte hai. It is much more violent than Bollywood. In Arundhati, there was a scene of pandits breaking 13-14 coconuts on heroine head as part of some sacrifice ritual which she only agreed to par Hindi channels me dub karne ke baad ek bhi nariyal fodte huve nahi dikhaate hai. So Bollywood still cuts several scenes aur agar cut karne ko ready na ho makers they pass it with A certificate.

For example Sacred games is a show with foul language, violence, sex and nudity so it has got A certificate but an equally dark show like Breathe with no sex and nudity has got U/A certfication.

But one thing is still not clear too mee

Aisa kya hua ki badalte waqt mein jin action type filmo ko A milta tha ab U/A hogaya audience ka raai iss maamle mein kaise change hua, aur foul bhasha, violence, sex hata de phir bhi kahani bhi toh suitable honi chahiye for eg gangubai kathiawadi though maine film nahi dekhi agar ussme foul language, fight scenes less ho ya nudity kam ho phir bhi story is not suitable for kids ie young girl life in brothel might be too much for them that's why thinking cbfc becoming lenient, also Ik villian where hero leads a tragic childhood got light in life but taken why after heroine killed and again tragic life is also not suitable for kids according to me for eg film similar to this Vijaypath where hero had tragic childhood as his family killed got A though times changed still not clear what audience thinks now but still too much tragic story and fight scenes is still not suitable for kids

Maleficent was Sleeping Beauty. It was made on POV of fairy who cursed Sleeping Beauty.

Rosie, abhi ke waqt me people don't want to raise kids in too sensitive way when it comes to TV. Thoda bahot exposure time to time hona chaahiye. Gangubai I saw few days back in Pikashow. It had no adult scene and dialogues too were not much vulgar. This was based on a real life woman and I guess the makers already altered several things as there was not a single scene which required A certificate. Hum sabne aise violent movies bachpan me dekhe hai aur kuch negative effect nahi hua humpe. Abhi ke bacche to in fact aur jyaada smart hai. So only on foul languages and sexual scenes they feel need to give A certificate. As I already said few times tab login me jyaada jaagrukta nahi thi ki kaunsi cheez kya aur kitna dekhna chaahiye due to TV being a new thing and theatre too visited by only few people and also no internet at that time.
