Nagin 6 : Good & Bad

Nagin is really all that when it comes to story, even the SSSNagin lacks the power which I'd have liked her to showcase, that's there but one thing (or two) that didn't disappoint me so far is Teju's acting and her chemistry with Simba. It's really a shame that makers aren't even sure of the story they really want to tell

Rant ahead :

The things that disappointed me is the story which is very inconsistent. From 20 assur to 5 to many more to 5? I'm not sure how many asurs are there. Chalo char mare to sahi, aur ek adha adhura lalit.

I understand that our SSSN was supposed to be a naive girl with her simple dream but what I don't understand is that even after having the highest power of Nagin, how is she so weak? To the point of she needs help of others less powerful than her to kill the stupid asurs or ask help of mahadev or a chingistani nagin who was not supposed to come out from her kayed, came out pretty easily actually.

The editing got a little better since last 2/3 episode & I almost feel after today's epi that they are heading towards a love hate relationship between the leads. Considering both confessed or was on the verge of confession but Pratha changed it to a fake confession by making her the bad guy in their story. (girl)

For the 1st time Seema looked conflicted, shady, not sure about whether to play good part or bad. While all this while she was playing this goody two shoe. But today Pratha puts her in a place where she was being watched & surprisingly not by her husband. I don't need detective to know she's the real baddy here. She was in a dilemma today, for real.

Good part :

Teju - PraRish - Simba • Give my babies everything.

They were always good. Since epi 2 . But Teju's Pratha looked powerful for the 1st time today. She talked like a nagin with power, most of all she looked sure of what she was saying or doing as a nagin today. In that garden scene, she was just 👌. My girl shone & how! Her expressions. The way her attitude was changing from being honest to Ridhab to her fake laughter to her baby doll tears dialogue, she was perfect.

Simba - baby, I'd have really shipped you with her for real but any way. 😆 He is really good as Rishab. Give my boy all this intense part, he makes sure to do a good job. (great) His heart is in a big mess & Pratha didn't help much today. Today's scene was another reason why I want a real intense romantic story for them. EKTA is capable. There is still time she can turn the crap story to a decent one. (Please pay the writer n editor, I beg) because these 2 are too good to be wasted. She got the best jodi for nagin on board, just don't waste their potential please.

I hope Reem is gone for good for a while. Girl adds nothing. I'm really hoping the story will head to somewhere good & the drama will run for a decent amount of time. The leads deserve that.

The only good things about the show are Teja's acting and PraRish chemistry... and Pratha Mahek relationship... otherwise toh the story has turned a joke and they can't even use the chemistry in a proper way.

Agreed. The only good things about the show I can think of are Teja and Simba's portrayal of their characters, PraRish chemistry, and of course the siblings bond of Pratha-Mahek and Rishab-Ritesh. But now they've ruined that too by sidelining both Mahek and Ritesh because of 100 new characters every other week 🤔

Aur story, editing, dialogues, pace ke baare me toh kya hi kahein chhoro abb 😆

Here are my points which is almost similar.

As you mentioned SSS weaker than any other naagin. Even too shoo off tiger she has to close her eyes and to call bholenath. She could have easily hypnotized the sher or they could have shown communicating with other animals is one of her skill.

The hyped story itself is dumb. As i mentioned in one of the thread. All asurs(including her dad) knew who is the shesh naagin and where she lives. Instead of that bewde asur could have entered and killed her before she became shesh naagin. Now i feel they show they wanted naagmani so they wanted pratha to become naagin. But we all know naagmani is not bound to shesh naagin they can easily stealed it like how it happend in other seasons.

I do not understand killing seng... with the help of shalaka. First of shalaka is not shalaka she is nayantara. She is not naagin either. They made it look like shalaka is some spoiled naagin who got realization in s6.

Rishab is very irritating as he is constantly swinging like pendulum. And for pratha i really dont understand why was its so important stay in gujral house as his wife. She could have killed that guy and took his roop than keeping him alive. It made no sense to me. There were better ways of doing that. May be pratha would have left home and rishab realizes that reem did it intentionally and he got her back home and throwed reem out as she is interfering in his mission.

Earlier seasons mls were complimenting with fls even though they had power or no power they used to help fls unknowingly.

But here rishab seems to be additional character with no role to play.

Seema and urvashi has no roles to play. They have filled n6 with so many people now they are hardly able to concentrate on ss. Urvashi was in the epi for 5 minutes. Seema for 5 minutes.

Seema and urvashi has highest potential than the tiger 🐅.

For tiger they took 10 minutes of fight sequence.

Eventhough i liked the graphics but story kaha ja rahi hai.

Now her father will pop out from water. wil they ever show how human survived in water. Why was SSS and mehak left the palace without even verifyi g if their family was alive.

Why SSS cant use her power and stop the fire. They have tornado power she could have used it to get some water. But hame toh adha season pratha ko rulana hai dumb kahani ke bare main sochkar.

I am unable to connect to this season. No complaints with actors. Teju is doing fab job even simba. But story 👎🏼

I don't watch ITV so really don't know if that's the case with all soaps, but here I feel the writers themselves r not convinced about their story n hence it keeps changing. The love story part is still working coz of the leads' chemistry, but the whole naagin part, which is what the show is about, is all over the place.

Anyways Prarish scenes r a pleasure to watch, if one just disconnects them from the story. Also mahek - pratha scenes r good n the 3 leads r doing a good job. Also the original casts r good. The biggest flaw is introduction of new characters, quickly rushed stories of them n their exit. Audience don't even get a chance to figure out, kya hua tha. 😂

I think someone else mentioned in another thread that in that particular city, only 5 asurs were shown. Now I would say due to their own stupidity these people are messing the story to this extent, who even told them in the first place to introduce this many? Coming to Prarish, as much as I love them the writers are messing them up as well. As you said, they have such a great couple with awesome chemistry and they don't even know what to do with them anymore, it's just sad. There's still scope for improvement and I hope the writers take the cue. I mean what exactly do they want to show with them? I am not liking the execution at all 😭 No matter how good the couple looks onscreen, or how hot the chemistry is, lack of proper development almost always ruins everything, I mean how would the audience connect with such characters who show no consistency in their behaviour

Coming to Pratha, I can understand the variations in her character, I wouldn't exactly call her weak. It's just that she has her weak and vulnerable moments, I mean she never wanted to become such a powerful naagin in the first place, she was just a simple girl with simple dreams, and they all were snatched overnight and suddenly she was burdened with such great responsibilities. Mahek is always there to guide her and it's reasonable because she may not be aware of all the powers she possesses, and this time her revenge isn't even personal. I like how she is shown to be this soft girl, but at the same time fierce too whenever required, I may be in the minority here but I don't have a problem with her Sheshnaagin personality 😆

Yea I agree that Pratha's personality is a little soft at the edges and perhaps it could be because it's not her own inteqaam that she's out to get, but rather to help people. Also still the shift in her personality when she faces Asurs is a pleasure to watch.

Her past, how she was brought up and was always sheltered by Mahek are the reasons I feel that Pratha lacks the shrewdness that previous Naagins had. But they could show her journey to becoming that no-nonsense shrewd focused naagin once she gets betrayed by her own father or maybe when Mahek turns on her. I dunno just guessing

Good: PraRish scene (Kitna bhi senseless ho Dono jab screen par hote hai tab najar idar udar na jati😆

Bad: everything else from story to editing to so song selection.
