What are the qualifications anyone need to become critic?
In case you're wondering about Anupama's here's what her wiki says. Quite a change from your usual armchair youtube critic.

Chopra's work has been published in India Today, India's largest English-language magazine. She has also written about Hindi Films for various international publications such as The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Variety and Sight & Sound and is currently a contributing editor to Vogue India.

you know what ...actors especially "outsiders" if you ask me today have become too self righteous. They refuse to accept any criticism of their work. Some good movies and praise and suddenly they are off their heads. If you hv put your work out there ppl are going to judge. Its part of the deal.
i used to like it when actors didnt make a big deal out of criticism and carried on with their work. While critics did their work. I hate it when ppl like kangana etc pretend to be all for constructive criticism while lashing out at anyone who called their work subpar.
Yami is not some great actress, she is passable and lets face it she hasnt had any great impact on bollywood per se. She hasnt turned into a-list bankable movie star.Yes, she has a few good movies that ppl will forget over time. I hate this "grapes are sour" attitude.

Putting politically correctness aside 😉,
LMAO, Vivek Agnihotri called Anupama, Surpanakha.
Shoorpanaka of Bollywood 🤣
Naah Yami needs to prove her potential in 'befitting reply' & 'breaking my silence' category........it's not that easy to join the club

I don’t think that’s fair at least in this case, Yami specifically screenshot a section to back her her anger and the critic didn’t say anything about her acting rather her previous roles about her being the “dead gf”. If you’re a film critic your job is to talking about the movie and their acting. Not bring up sassy comments judging her previous roles. Not everyone has Dharma back up where the producer can go to said director and say “hey cast so and so”
There is online trolls and there is film critics - if you’re a critic your job is to be neutral and talk about the film not to be a mean girl. I don’t think Yami was wrong in calling this person out - however yea she could have done it tactful but I understand her emotions being involved.
disagree. It is subjective what you call criticism and what you call not. lets say i write in a review that "it is good so see(insert name of the actress) do some thing different than flowerpot roles she has done in the past". it doesnt neccessarily mean bad criticism.
And why do ppl always bring up Dharma as a retort is beyond me. Ppl here are hate obsessed with KJO it seems. There are100's of production houses and 100's of actors hv made it w/o Dharma backup. On this forum if somebody from non-kjo gang is a flop KJo is responsible, somebody from non-kjo gang is a hit, its a slap on Kjo's face. Why?? Kjo doesnt give a f@#k .I think yami was arrogant. She could hv totally ignored it. But took offence. Aise sab offence hi lete rahenge to BW me koi kuch kar hi nhi payega.
Agar review positive hota to bhi bolti kya mera film review mat karo? Nhi na. Agar koi altu-faltu critic hota to bhi repost karti "thank you , much appreciated etc". Agar praise accept kar sakte ho apni performances ka to criticism bhi usi "stride" me leni chahiye. Thats all i am saying.
If that’s her qualifications then she should know how to put words perfectly.Originally posted by: capricornrcks
