Prologue
She was gazing out the window of her penthouse in the lovely city of Rome in Italy and thinking about how wonderful her life was and how god had gifted her with such amazing parents.
Alessandro Christakis had houses, condos and penthouses all over the world, he was one of the richest and most admired men in the business world, he was envied by men who wanted to be him and envied by women who wanted to be in his wife's shoes. He was a handsome man. People followed him everywhere and the media went crazy whenever he was spotted. But ofcourse, she was no less.
Bani Alessandra Christakis Singhania was busy making a name for herself in the fashion industry at her mere 25 years. She was a fighter just like her father but she had the gentleness and simplicity of her mothers, she had greek looks, she was thin but at the same time she had perfect curves, she had long black silky hair and a fair complexion but eyes were greenish brown and they had a sparkle in them which showed that she was a happy girl, a free spirit. She had an eternal glow on her face which proved that she was bold and at the time innocent and intriguing. She was often catalogued by the people of Athens as the reincarnated form of the Greek Goddess of Love and Beauty "Aphrodite" as she was considered the most beautiful woman in Greece, but ofcourse her mother was no less, who was also considered a very beautiful and elegant woman, she was considered one of the best dressed and best spoken women and no doubt the daughter was the same. Their class and education irradiated in waves to everyone who approached them, the Christakis were considered the Golden Family of Greece.
Alessandro had fallen madly in love with Kiran Singhania on his first trip to India 26 years ago, he had gone to Mumbai to meet Indian business Tycoon Kumar Singhania, Kiran's father. Alessandro was only 24 years old and Kiran 22, it was love at first sight.
Kumar didn't object to his daughter's relationship as he knew Alessandro was a good hardworking man and that he would keep Kiran happy.
Their marriage happened within weeks as Alessandro had to continue traveling for his business, it was a grand and lavish affair. The Media was going nuts and ran the entire function in detail as it was not something that happened everyday, that two prominent figures of the business world were getting married, after all Kiran was the heiress to a billion dollar empire and Alessandro the owner of one.
Kiran then moved to Athens with Alessandro, where she started learning the language and the culture her husband belonged to but of course never forgetting or bypassing her own roots. Alessandro and Kiran for the first year traveled around the world as Alessandro wanted Kiran to see all the beautiful places the world had to offer and plus he could do business and at the same time have her with him. Back in Athens. Kiran discovered she was pregnant with their first child and their happiness couldn't be more. They had all they could wish for and more.
After Bani was born, Kiran decided to dedicate herself to her writing and her family, Yes Kiran loved to write and her dream was to become a successful fiction writer and Alessandro encouraged her. Kiran started writing and pursuing her dream and at the same time being the perfect wife and mother to Alessandro and Bani. Within two years she had published her first book and it was a total success, life couldn't get better. Kiran won the Pulitzer Price for best fiction writer within 5 years of her writing career and since then there was nobody to stop her, she got involved in charity work and traveled with Alessandro whenever she could.
Alessandro was beyond happy having these two beautiful women in his life, his life revolved around them.
Alessandro loved his daughter and made sure that she got the best education, she went to the best private school in Athens and then she went to Fashion School in Italy where she could get her degree and pursue her dream of becoming the next top notch fashion designer in the Industry. Alessandro would ruin anybody's life who messed up with his wife or daughter.
Bani, in turn, always topped in class and was a gold medalist in Horse riding and did all kind of sports, people loved her and her father adored her.
Bani spoke 8 fluent languages, Greek, Spanish, German, Hindi, Russian, Italian, English and French, she was well read and cultured and her parents were very proud of her.
Kiran made sure Bani never forgot she was half Indian, she taught her everything a decent and well bred Indian girl should know and also instilled values in her. Bani traveled all over the world with her parents and learnt everything she could whenever she went to India. She loved it there and would always go back happily whenever she could.
Bani loved her parents to bits and they were so in love with each other and she was sure that they would be till the day they died.
Bani always thanked god that he gave her understanding and caring parents.
She just hoped that one day she could also find her Prince Charming the same way her mother once did.
