For him love is something of an escape, a place of his own. Imagine someone who's never lived for himself, that too during an age where everyone is only about themselves... Like at 20s my entire life was college, a few friends, BF and just that. Responsibility ka r bhi nahin tha. And then expectations of a man like KSV. He imagines his love would love him for who he's... once they are in love with him. He didn't understood that it's not always in grand speeches or OTT actions...

Tbf Jasmine was never innocent cute candy. She's selfish from the beginning, it's just she used to say everything in sugary sweet voice while batting her eyelashes.

Fateh, wasn't really innocent kid, he's actually a sharp af knife. In J case, he's blinded 1)bcz of Tejo, she always went about how childlike J is... 2) He realised her colors at his wedding... Later on it's like a drug, where he's just convincing himself.
